Quebec-based aftermarket parts company ACS Composite has released a new ‘Speedtail Spoiler’ for the C8 Corvette Stingray.
The ACS Composite Speedtail Spoiler for the C8 Corvette Stingray has a lower profile than the factory Z51 spoiler or High Wing Rear Spoiler, giving the vehicle a streamlined look. The spoiler is also more defined than the factory Low Profile Rear Spoiler that was added to the Vette’s order books for the 2022 model year, however, giving the vehicle a slightly more aggressive exterior appearance.
“For those that want to go flat out,” ACS Composite proclaims of this new spoiler. “The ACS C8 Speedtail Spoiler answers the call of a zero drag spoiler. Unlike a C8 Corvette High Wing Spoiler, which generates approximately 400 pounds of downforce, the C8 Speedtail will help you unlock the wilder side of the mid-engine configuration.”
The company says this spoiler is affixed to the rear deck of the C8 using the existing OEM mounting points, so vehicles that came equipped with either the Z51 spoiler or the High Wing Spoiler will not require any drilling. Non-Z51 cars will require holes to be drilled, however.
This fiberglass composite spoiler comes finished in Carbon Flash Metallic paint, matching the black exterior trim found on the exterior of most C8 Corvette Stingray models. It also comes with a template and all necessary mounting hardware for easy installation.
ACS Composite has priced its new Speedtail Spoiler for the C8 Corvette Stingray from $899 USD or $1,164 CAD. This low drag spoiler isn’t cheap, then, although ACS Composite offers free shipping on it.
