2022 GMC Acadia Configurator Goes Live

The online configurator tool for the 2022 GMC Acadia has officially gone live on the automaker’s website, allowing fans to spec their very own version of the mid-size crossover model.

We went ahead and used the configurator tool to make our preferred 2022 GMC Acadia. For our example model, we chose the off-road-focused AT4 trim level, along with the Cayenne Red Tintcoat exterior color, which costs an extra $695. We also added the perforated Jet Black interior ($1,000), as well as the Preferred Package ($995) and the Technology Package ($1,000). The Preferred Package adds equipment like an eight-way power driver’s seat, a power passenger’s seat, a heated steering wheel and heated rear outboard seats, while the Technology Package comes with a Head-Up Display and HD Surround Vision. Our example vehicle rings in at $46,235, including a $1,195 destination and freight charge.

GM has introduced quite a large number of changes for the 2022 GMC Acadia. The 2022 Acadia in the SLE trim level no longer offers the available 3.6L V6 LGX gasoline engine, while the 2.5L LCV four-cylinder has been dropped from the lineup entirely. The SL trim level has also been thrown out, with the SLE now serving as the entry-level trim. Customers can no longer order the AT4 trim level in the five-passenger seating configuration and Red Mahogany Metallic has been dropped from the vehicle’s color palette. The crossover now also offers the Pro Safety Plus Package as standard, while the turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY gasoline engine has a higher towing capacity thanks to wider availability for the V92 trailering package.

The 2022 GMC Acadia will enter production at the GM Spring Hill plant in Tennessee in the near future. In the meantime, be sure to fiddle with the online configurator tool for the crossover at this link.

  1. Already at dealers. One local showed two 22 models.

The changes are mostly to lower end models.

We just purchased a 21 Denali as there was nothing in the 22 that was really changing but the price.
