Prices for the 2022 Chevy Traverse mid-size crossover will start at $34,395 in the United States, $1,195 destination freight charge included.
As we reported previously, the Chevy Traverse has ditched the base L trim for the 2022 model year, with the LS now serving as the entry-level trim for the full-size crossover. The 2022 Chevy Traverse represents the first year of production for the Mid Cycle Enhancement (MCE) version of the crossover. It features revised exterior styling with new standard LED headlamps and a mildly revamped interior with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Other changes include the addition of an Automatic Start/Stop disable switch and Safety Alert Seat, along with a new standard Chevy Safety Assist package that brings more active safety tech to the vehicle. The MCE Chevy Traverse was originally intended to launch for the 2021MY, but its arrival was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The only engine currently available for the Traverse is the naturally aspirated 3.6L V6 LFY gasoline motor, which produces 310 horsepower and 266 pound-feet of torque. The engine comes paired with the GM nine-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive, with all-wheel drive available for a premium.
Production of the 2022 Chevy Traverse will commence at the GM Lansing Delta Township plant in Michigan on August 2nd of this year. It will begin shipping to Chevy dealerships in the U.S., Canada and elsewhere shortly thereafter.

Love the update really sharpen the whole vehicle up aesthetically, love the new tailights!
I have a 19 Premier with 40k milies. Most of my miles have been 1200 + mile round trips across the US. It’s a great SUV for traveling and picnics with the grandkids and dogs when 3rd seat is down. As for the chassis, brakes, and drivetrain, really hard to beat vs the others in this segment especially with 4 to 5 adults, this vehicle doesn’t fall down like the others in this segment. You get 4 or 5 adults in the others and they struggle to maintain integrity. I know, test drive them and ask those sales guys to hop in…you will pass them up. However, that 3.0 TT EcoBoost is very capable but I did not want a psuedo cop car.
Ok, now the criticism, no electric sun roof shades. This sucks! You can not adjust how much sun to let in, it’s all or nothing…sucks!
No cup holders in the second row seating…wtf…the holders in the doors, IMO, are not cup holders. They can’t even hold a water bottle…sucks when passengers have to hold their drink!
No multi-functional rear hatch window . IMO, an electrical system to lower and raise the hatch window is warranted when the temperature is comfortable and you can lower the windows and get fresh air or drop groceries or pets. Using the hatch for big dogs or large amount of groceries. My 02 Tahoe had this and it was awesome feature.
Only the passenger side second row seat is capable of moving forward to acees the 3rd row seating. IMO, both should have that feature.
A nit pic…but when temperatures are 90° or higher, the rear ceiling vents could be bigger for better flow for adults in the rear cabin.
Get rid of the euro style seats for old school 70s Buick soft seats. They’re not bad today but could be improved for those 1200 mile trips.
I didn’t experience any transmission schudder so the drive traine and driveline – no complaints.
I don’t see any improvements or changes for 2022 so I will keep my 19 until gm can make those changes. IMO, these are neccessary if you owned a Traverse for a year or more. Oh I know, gm wants me to pay 10k more foe Cadillac…lol.
Hell my 16 Impala Premier had these sun roof shade and cup holder features and options.
WIRELESS apple carplay and android auto finally !! so many vehicles have wireless charging but then you have to plug in to use apple carplay or android auto anyway. So what’s the point of the wireless charging.?
