Readers with long memories may recall the Trail Boss package that was briefly offered on the 2015MY and 2016MY Chevy Colorado. That package included different off-road-focused equipment such as an automatic locking differential, a transfer case shield, front recovery hooks and black three-inch round rocker steps, among more.
Similarly, GM also announced a Colorado Trail Boss model variant of the global Chevy Colorado, which is offered for sale in Thailand and other emerging markets. That package included black exterior emblems, an off-road Sport Bar and other such equipment.
We’re still waiting on pricing information and photos of the 2022 Chevy Colorado with the Trail Boss package, so for now, be sure to subscribe to GM Authority for more Chevrolet Colorado news, Chevrolet news and around-the-clock GM news coverage.
Is this the “special event” Chevy said last week that is supposed to happen today??
I was wondering the same. Gawd I hope not, but with what they’ve been doing lately, probably.
Ta da!
unfortunately the “special event” was just a virtual dealer update.
It happened yesterday. Highlights were that the 6.2L will now be offered in Z71, RST, and Premier Tahoe/Suburbans, Colorado Trailboss is coming, and Silverado ZR2 is coming with production expected to kickoff in mid-Q1 2022. Expect more news in September or October.
This is Chevys version of a AT4. It also is a replacement for the Trail Runner package they tried a year or so ago.
Budget ZR for guys who want to build their own trucks with out the expensive shocks and front locker.
Actually this is a very good package and price. This should set up the coming 23 model well with new models.
A Trailboss package that doesn’t even provide a factory 2″ lift. Really?
That’s why the ZR2 exists….
