The Performance Upgrade Package for the 2021 Chevy Tahoe and 2021 Chevy Suburban is currently unavailable to order, GM Authority can confirm.
Available on both the Chevy Tahoe and Chevy Suburban, the Performance Upgrade Package (RPO code PDC) bundles two LPO-level, dealer-installed performance add-ons together: the Cat-Back Performance Exhaust (RPO WBC) and the Performance Air Intake System (RPO 5W7). When it was available to order, the kit cost $2,295 to equip on Chevy Tahoe and Chevy Suburban models with the 5.3L L84 V8 and $2,795 to equip on models with the 6.2L L87 V8.
It’s not clear when the Performance Upgrade Package for the 2021 Chevy Tahoe and 2021 Chevy Suburban will return to the SUVs’ respective order books. It’s also not clear why it was taken off the order guides to begin with, although parts shortages stemming from COVID-19-related pandemic production woes have been a common theme in the automotive industry throughout 2021.
In Chevy Tahoe and Suburban models with the 5.3L L84 V8 engine, the Performance Air Intake system intake reduces intake restriction by 13 percent, while vehicles with the 6.2L L87 V8 will see intake restriction reduced by up to 17 percent. The filter also comes with a red-colored conical dry media filter, which adds a little extra flair to the SUV’s engine bay.
Meanwhile, the Cat Back Exhaust system for the SUVs is available in either a single side-exit tip for 5.3L L84 V8 models or a dual rear-exit tip for 6.2L L87 V8 models. Vehicles with the 5.3L L84 V8 can expect performance gains of 7 horsepower and 4 pound-feet of torque, while 6.2L L87 V8 models will see gains of 11 horsepower and 6 pound-feet of torque.

Or because you’d be a nut job to buy it.
You can get the same damn parts installed for half the price with other brands of intake and exhaust.
It’s going to be interesting as all these decontented Chevys come up for sale used and you can’t believe what features a vehicle is allegedly supposed to have that you’re being lied to about. I guess 2021 models will be the ones to avoid forever.
