2021 Cadillac CT5-V Gets New Rift Metallic Color: First Look

The 2021 Cadillac CT5-V brings about minor changes and updates, such as the addition of Super Cruise, Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and the Buckle to Drive feature. The luxury sedan also see the addition of two new exterior colors to its palette: Infrared Tintcoat and Rift Metallic. Here’s our first in-person look at the new whiteish hue.

Assigned color code GRW and touch-up paint code WA-249F, Rift Metallic is one of four neutral exterior color options available for the 2021 CT5-V, along with Satin Steel Metallic, Summit White, Black Raven, and Shadow Metallic. From a distance, the Rift Metallic hue appears to have a gloss finish, however, when viewed up close, the metallic flakes pop, especially in direct sunlight.

In total, there are nine available colors for the 2021 Cadillac CT5-V:

Satin Steel Metallic
Evergreen Metallic
Shadow Metallic
Wave Metallic
Rift Metallic
Infrared Tintcoat

Interestingly, Summit White and Black Raven are the only two color options included in the base price of the sedan.

Meanwhile, the new Rift Metallic color is not included in the base price of the 2021 Cadillac CT5-V, and costs an additional $625. The color is exclusive to the CT5-V as it is not available on non-V CT5 models, and is consequently limited to the three interior color combinations available on the vehicle: Jet Black, Sedona Sauvage with Jet Black, and Whisper Beige with Jet Black. Notably, the Rift Metallic color will also be available for the upcoming, highly-anticipated 2022 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing.

As of this writing, dealer inventory of 2021 Cadillac CT5-V models is sparse due to the ongoing microchip shortage, which has impacted the GM Lansing Grand River plant that assembles the CT5 and CT5-V. We recommend checking with your dealer about availability of models coated in the new Rift Metallic paint.
