A dedicated and talented fan of the GMC Hummer EV has created a working scale model of the battery-electric supertruck using Lego Technic parts.
The creator of this Lego-based GMC Hummer EV, Alain, says he knew the electric pickup was going to be his next Lego Technic creation from the minute he first saw it. His custom-made scale Hummer uses electric Lego Powered Up components to incorporate numerous technologies inspired by the real-world vehicle, including four-wheel-drive, four-wheel-steering and CrabWalk Mode. It even features adjustable suspension with the ability to immediately raise the ride height by the scale equivalent of six inches – just like the Extract Mode that is offered on the actual GMC Hummer EV.
“The Hummer EV is one of the few all-electric utility pickup trucks paving the way for a true automobile industry change and with all the features and technology it combines,” the creator said in a post on the Lego Ideas website. “I think it would make a great Lego Technic set that can take plenty advantage of the different possibilities of the Powered Up functions.”
In addition to the various power functions, Alain’s GMC Hummer EV also features working doors, a removable cargo cover, a working frunk and a detailed interior with four bucket seats. The model even features a fully working version of the multi-position GMC MultiPro tailgate, which will come as standard equipment on the GMC Hummer EV.
This Lego Technic GMC Hummer EV is currently listed on the Lego Ideas site, which allows Lego fans to post their own custom creations for other users to rate and support. If the idea gets enough traction, Lego will consider offering the model as an actual product. That means that if Alain’s GMC Hummer EV generates enough interest, you could one day be able to buy a kit to make your very own version of it.

That is really cool…
Where do you get the lego plans to build this awesome truck
You wait to see if they make it as a kit and if it fails often the directions end up on the web.
Let them see if they make the kit it will be much cheaper than buying all the parts separately.
I wager this one makes it to production.
Outstanding. Good job.
It’s detailed right down to the gm cheap, crappy interior!
