As a refresher, the Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing made its official debut on February 1st via an online streaming event, with the first 250 pre-orders opening up selling out within about 24 hours.
Powered by the twin-turbocharged 3.6L V6 LF4 engine rated at 472 horsepower and 445 pound-feet of torque, the ultra-high-performance luxury sedan is set to go into production in July, unless unforeseen circumstances change that timeframe.

“First Look”.
WTF is Inteluxe?
For some stupid reason, they didn’t offer cooled seats on most, if not all, previous V models. Is that still true?
Inteluxe is GM speak for leatherette. The leather with sueaded seat back has ventilated “cooled” seats but not heated.
The sueaded seatback option does come with heated and cooled seats
You are correct sir.
Looks great, makes you want one
A note to the author, the CT4 BW does not offer a carbon fiber seat back. That option is only available on the CT5 BW.
100% correct
These BW updates are very interesting. But, when is Cadillac actually going to build one?
As stated in the last sentence of the article, July. More specifically, July 5th.
And, your reason to trust the veracity of this statement from GM is?
You asked when they’re going to “actually” build them. I told you the scheduled production start date. They’re not behind schedule and my dealer hasn’t told me of any delays so I’m not sure why I need a reason to not trust the veracity of their statement. When I ordered mine I was told the chip shortage may affect CT4/CT5 production schedule but Blackwings should get priority and hopefully won’t be affected.
Ordered mine. Dark Emerald Frost, no carbon fiber.
Nice. I went Electric Blue, red calipers and both carbon packages
That’s a nice combo, I wanted the carbon package, but I live in the city. they’ll be gone in months double parking haha. Did you get an estimated date? I was told August.
I’m in Canada and was told end of September
I posted this question not here but on another GM Authority site. So it looks like GM is continuing to build the Blackwings although when I look at dealer sites they put a little note inferring that it’s the last one or only 4 more what does this mean I see that they are offering more options and colors doesn’t sound like it. Just can’t find them like everything else.
