GMC Acadia, Cadillac XT5 And XT6 Recalled For Fuel Line Issue

General Motors has issued a product safety recall to fix a problem related to the fuel line in certain 2021 model year Cadillac XT5 and XT6 as well as GMC Acadia crossovers.

The problem: in affected vehicles, certain fuel supply lines may have been manufactured outside of the dimensional specifications set by General Motors. Cadillac vehicles affected by this problem will have the 3.6L LGX V6 gasoline engine, while Acadia models may have either the 3.6L LGX V6 or the 2.5L LCV four-cylinder engine.

The hazards: if a fuel supply line is out of specification, the clips that secure the line in place may not have been completely seated during the assembly process. This could make the lines prone to coming loose from the clips.

The fix: dealers will inspect the fuel lines and replace them if necessary. These repairs will be performed at no cost to the vehicle owner.

Affected components: fuel supply lines.

Affected vehicles:

Number of affected vehicles: GM has not said how many vehicles were shipped with out of spec fuel supply lines.

Owners should: GM will notify owners of affected vehicles and instruct them to make an appointment with their dealer. If owners are unsure whether or not their vehicle is affected by this recall, they can visit my.gm.com/recalls and type in their VIN to see any open recalls or other actions that may be active on it. Owners of affected vehicles can also reach out to GMC, Cadillac or the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration directly using the contact information included below.

  3. No wonder gm is switching to Lectrics, they can’t manufacture a reliable ICE!

  4. I’ve been a GM owner my entire life. Olds, Buick, Pontiac, Saturn and Chevy Impala and Z71 sport side pick up. I have had no major problems with any of them!
I see everyone bashing GM, but hey my friends all have same if not more repairs with their Hondas and Toyotas as I do. And the ones that don’t all look like they’re driving the same thing as everybody else in their SUV and CUV’s.
My 2010 Buick Lacrosse CXL is a head turner. 60k original miles, luxury everything and a 3.6L that runs like a dream. $10k cash, no loan, no payment and all mine for 8-10 more years. To me that’s the smart $$ and a great car.

  5. Another major advantage of the topidex expandable garden hoses is that they are available in different lengths. The flexible hoses are available in both long and short lengths which make them convenient to be used in a variety of situations such as large or small patios, covered porch, driveways and pools.
