The problem: in affected vehicles, certain fuel supply lines may have been manufactured outside of the dimensional specifications set by General Motors. Cadillac vehicles affected by this problem will have the 3.6L LGX V6 gasoline engine, while Acadia models may have either the 3.6L LGX V6 or the 2.5L LCV four-cylinder engine.
The hazards: if a fuel supply line is out of specification, the clips that secure the line in place may not have been completely seated during the assembly process. This could make the lines prone to coming loose from the clips.
The fix: dealers will inspect the fuel lines and replace them if necessary. These repairs will be performed at no cost to the vehicle owner.
Affected components: fuel supply lines.
Number of affected vehicles: GM has not said how many vehicles were shipped with out of spec fuel supply lines.
Owners should: GM will notify owners of affected vehicles and instruct them to make an appointment with their dealer. If owners are unsure whether or not their vehicle is affected by this recall, they can visit my.gm.com/
