General Motors has started a Customer Satisfaction Program to address an issue related to the oil cooler lines in certain examples of the 2019 Chevy Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500.
The problem: in affected vehicles, the engine oil cooler lines may leak and detach from the crimp joints. Exposure to cold temperatures may also aggravate this condition. If the engine oil cooler lines leak, there may be an oil leak on the ground and if the lines detach entirely while the vehicle is in motion, there will be an immediate decrease in oil pressure. This will also coincide with a low oil pressure warning on the driver information display and a warning chime.
The hazards: if the user continues to operate the vehicle with low oil pressure, there may be a loss of propulsion. An engine operating with low oil pressure may also be prone to failure.
The fix: dealers are instructed to replace the engine oil cooler lines, oil filter and coolant. These repairs will be performed at no cost to the vehicle owner.
Affected components: engine oil cooler lines.
Affected vehicles:
Number of affected vehicles: GM did not say how many vehicles are involved in this customer satisfaction program.
Next steps: owners of affected Chevy Silverado or GMC Sierra trucks will most likely be instructed to make an appointment with their dealership to have the engine oil cooler lines inspected and replaced. Owners with additional questions or concerns can also reach out to Chevy or GMC directly using the contact information included below.

i had the same problem with engine oil cooler lines on my new 1988 2500 silverado as the aluminum lines rubbed on the steering box causing a leak.
I purchased a new 2019 Silverado in 2019. 3 weeks ago the oil coolant lines broke on my 2019 Silverado 1500 LT, going 65 down the highway, and had seconds to pull over and shutoff. The truck was towed back to a local dealer and lines were replaced at $1200 only to tell me that after the repair was complete that the engine is seized up. I’m now saddled with over a $8000 bill to replace engine with 82,000 miles. I can’t understand why there wasn’t a recall in the US when there was one issued in Canada. News flash it gets extremely cold here too. This was a defective part by GM. I know GM doesn’t care about my one time vehicle disaster but will not buy another GM product again and I’ll make sure the fleet vehicles I approve for my agency won’t be GM either. You can’t push the financial responsibility on consumers like this and expect to get away with it.
Same! We had the same coolant line issue. Paid more than that to fix it. Replaced the engine for the same reason and the catalytic converter twice!! Finally gave up and got a tundra! Will NEVER purchase a GMC or Chevy vehicle again. It’s not bc of the issues, it’s bc they didn’t stand by the issues !!!
My experience was at 40000 miles my 2019 Silverado oil coolant line broke.
When the dealer repaired the failed line they found that the engine had seized up.
It’s been two weeks with no idea when I’ll get my truck back.
My Dad just had this happen to him last week. Same amount of miles, 40000.
He bought it brand new.Ridiculous that GM won’t do anything to compensate.
OMG! Just happened to me yesterday 15,000 for a new motor!!!!!!!!! I’m furious…
I suggest Gm also does a recall on the 2020 2500 HD. Had to change mine last Fall, were leaking pretty bad
Just spend $3400 on my 2020 Silverado 1500 – definitely need a recall on this
I probably can’t just pick on GM, but I will in this case. I have a 1980s GM truck that has a factory oil cooler on it. At the youngest those lines are 36 years old. How is it that a new vehicle, adjusted for inflation probably still much more costly, can’t have them made properly? It honestly baffles me that something so simple, on such a huge investment, can be made that terribly.
I have a 2019 rubber hose blew off the crimped end lost 7 quarts of oil on the parking lot of my friends store. 20,000 miles on the truck at the dealer and they tell me it is back ordered. That sucks
I just got told the same thing, except they said it may take two weeks or a month. I can’t be without the truck that long.
It may have to do with the age of the current engineers, look at the generation they belong to.
Probably multiple generations – what does age have to do with it? This has to be the stupidest comment I have read on here in the past year.
Not really. This design demonstrates zero experience in the engineering department.
This is design feature you might expect to find on a YUGO, but not on a GM product.
it also could be careless assy on the production line. the fix on my 1988 was plastic spacers so the line would not contact the steering box.
I had my oil changed 4/25/2022 took it home today noticed oil leaking in my drive took it back to dealer they said the oil cooler lines are leaking at the crimps and need replace at a cost of $635.00 to me .
My truck has 73000 miles on it .
Greg
Got my truck repaired today the bill came to $804.00 luckily for me when I purchased the truck in 2019 I purchased a extended warranty to 100000 miles with $100 deductible
I don’t have the extended warranty and mine just happened and I’m over 5k mile over the warranty limit so they refuse to cover the cost?! If this is such a common problem then why in the hell do they not have a recall on it at no cost regardless of the warranty?!
File a complaint with the BBB, since this is a know issue you may be able to get somewhere with it.
Already did. Bbb, this, the National safety and highway, GM itself.
I’m getting a very similar story from the Dealer Service Tech saying my 2016 GMC Sierra has some “sweating” happening at the “crimps” on these Engine Oil Coolant lines at only 76000 miles. This sounds like a very poor design to me. GM should pay to recall all vehicles with this problem. Price tag quote for me today was $550.

The weather must be the cause because my 2019 Trail Boss in AZ has zero leaks.
Just did my lines on my 1993 2500 gmc. Seems to be a ongoing problem. Almost lost my engine. Someone should address that, and ongoing issues.
It seems like this problem reoccurred after getting it fixed last winter. Haven’t taken it in yet but a friend just had the same problem again to his 2019 Silverado. He had it fixed under warranty but ended up trading it in for a newer model.
This is a bunch of BS that they’ve not recalled this problem. It’s a lemon
Bring back manual transmission. Don’t think they had coolers?
“Bring back manual transmission. Don’t think they had coolers?”
This is about engine oil coolers. And yes, some manual transmissions did/do use a cooler, although not a problem in GM trucks since they aren’t available anymore.
FWIW, the manuals are simply losing the battle in trucks and cars are likely not far behind, no one in their right mind wants to row 8 or 10 gears, and as narrow as the spacing is, you would be doing far too much shifting. The new automatics do a far better job keeping the engine where it makes power, there is unfortunately no reason anymore to even desire a 6 speed manual (which I daily drive, FWIW).
Better be glad it’s not the 8 speed transmission, problems with that one.
I have the 8 speed.
It’s slightly better than the 6…but still, clunky and distracting.
I pre-ordered the F150 lightning EV. Would have ordered the Silverado EV, but not timeline on that and I’m tired of clunky transmissions and ICE in general.
What’s bad is how much the techs get for replacing those lines, 2 hours for a 3 to 4 hour job. If it’s 4WD, 4 hours for a 6 hour job. Cheap made chinese lines that’s the lowest bidder for the lines.
The 8 speed transmission (8L90) only needs the new fluid and a flush plus a reprogram and it’s golden. The original fluid causes condensation.Ford has the same issue with the 10 speed, however due to the 8 speed issue GM already learned and the GM 10 speed version is golden. They did this on my 2017 Camaro SS and it’s better than new.I felt the slight shutter at around 1300-1500 rpm at just over 20K and contacted the dealer right away. When I showed up I had already looked up the TSB and they couldn’t jive me with the usual garbage “they’re all doing that” so they did the work.Hit the forums for whatever model and look for issues if you get one and show up to the dealer armed with information. They will try to pull one over on you if you don’t.I hate that about dealerships but it happens, just like when Toyota was dealing with the self accelerating vehicles not too long ago ago and tried to blame it on floor mats.Get real!
Actually it was the design of the gas pedal that was causing the issue on those Toyotas. The floor mats didn’t help with the problem either. On the 8 speed trans, torque converters getting replaced also. Not counting temp sensors in the trans failing. They have their problems.
I still have the original torque converter.
It will get replaced, can’t say why I know on here. Can’t say how many are getting those lines replaced but so far it’s under 1,000.
Do you know how many now?
It popped off completely on me. Engine lost all its oil in like 5 miles of driving. No cost to me, but….it ruined a date.
Had the same problem with my Texas edition 2019 chevy. oil coolant line broke, lost all my oil and the engine seized up. Its been in the shop for almost two months and it will probably be another month before they have the parts to fix it. What happened to making a quality product you can be proud of. Last GM product I’ll ever buy.
There’s that GM quality! -Scotty Kilmer
“Likely” Get contacted. ? Sure. I didn’t . Wasn’t offered loaner. Now no vehicle.
2019 trail boss with 12.500 miles lines leaked with no warning stopped at 1st gas station put in 2.5 quarts and after a 10 mile trip home it didn’t show any oil on the dip stick. Had it towed to chevy dealer. Waiting to get it back this better be fixed under warranty now that I see how many other trucks have had this issue.
To help out anyone else like me that finds this article as the first thing in a Google search relative to the oil cooler line leaking. The coverage under the GM CSP mentioned above only applies to Canada and Alaska (officially). You can find the bulletin for this particular one on the NHTSA website. They don’t have anything officially posted for the lower 48, BUT, I did set up a service ticket with GM on this topic and they seemed optimistic they would offer at least partial cost coverage with the dealer (which quoted me $1000 to replace). Mine was a minor leak and not catastrophic failure as some people have experienced. TBD on final outcome.
did you ever get a resolution on this? I’m guessing that is the issue I’m having with my truck, found oil on the ground this morning. Its currently at the dealer. It was -27 this morning air temp, and apparently the cold temps can make this happen.
Gm offered me GM points as a condolence. That’s it. Not the tow fee, not the part replacement costs, not the dealership fee- bc you have to use GM.. but GM points
My hose just blew in a middle of driving on a 2019 Silverado 1500, 48k miles, engine is gone and Chevy is telling me it’s no longer under warranty. This is a known issue so I’m hoping they will do the right thing and replace the engine.
My 2019 44,000 miles Silverado had complete separation of the hose and connector. Lost all oil – Sprayed everywhere.
Chevrolet replaced the part and filled the engine with oil and said you are good to go. I asked to have the pan dropped and the bearings looked at and replaced – No go asked for extended warranty on internal parts – No go – They said it is not knocking – no damage done. I am climbing my way up the ladder to get extended warranty or Motor opened up.
I had the same issue with 48k miles, my engine is done. Luckily my local Chevy dealership agreed to replace the engine with a price tag of 10k, im hoping this never happens again.
How are you fairing on this issue. Just had to have my 2019 towed in today. Same thing the line broke or leaked while driving. As soon as chime sounded and message displayed, I pulled over immediately and shut vehicle off. My husband checked dip stick which barely showed any oil, but nice puddle on ground. Vehicle is under warranty another 30 days. I want the pan dropped and engine thoroughly checked. There never was any recall issued on my truck for this issue.
This just happened on my 2019 Chevy Silverado 1500!!! I am just so happy I wasn’t on the freeway and have AAA! I am not happy about this at all and the fact that there isn’t a recall! My tow truck guy told me to buy a Dodge or a Ford and that Chevy always left him on the side of the road. I Love my truck and hope this will fix the problem and won’t happen again.
GM finally stood behind their warranty and fixed my truck. (I think) They had to completely replace the engine. Only took them 4 months to wake up.
So was it your persistence that finally got them to drop the pan and further investigate your engine. I have 25 days left on my warranty and two more years of payments. I don’t want to find out in 2 or 3 months or however long that I need a new engine. I appreciate your info and help, I’m afraid they will try to take advantage of me on this.
the oil cooler lines popped on mine this past January at interstate highway speeds. ruined engine because was unable to immediately leave the highway. COMPLETE HORROR STORY to get GM and their ridiculous small town dealer to help resolve this issue on a truck that only had under 28,000 miles at the time of this incident. Finally did receive a new engine after MONTHS of almost daily calling the dealer, calling GM directly, complaining, cursing at these people to get it resolved. Absolutely nightmare in every form. The the dealer does finally get the engine replaced and all of the repairs done to the truck after months of BS and excuses…. ONLY to then tell me that they refused to release the vehicle to me until GM paid for the warranty work?! I was like WHAT,?? EXCUSE ME…NOT MY PROBLEM YOU AS A GM DEALER ARE HAVING ISSUES BEING COMPENSATED FOR COVERED WARRANTY WORK!! the DEALER saying to me that they have issues with GM paying them for GM COVERED warranty work and THAT me as the customer of a 2019 model year silverado…. 50+ thousand dollar vehicle …. that HAS known oiler cooler line issues and GM did not care to inform US as CUSTOMERS that this may be an issue…..must then accept it as a normal “thing” for my vehicle to be repaired and sit on their lot while GM decided when to pay for the warranty. A few calls to attorney and using the SUE YOU term changed at this… and this despicable dealership then returned the vehicle immediately. Never again will I purchase a GM product!
Just happened to my 2019 Sierra. Chimed sounded, message displayed and I pulled over immediately. Huge pile of oil on the ground and all over the truck. Repair cost $1082.57. Called GMC. No recall. Not their problem. EXTREMELY upset and disappointed in GMC’s lack of proactive solution for this known issue.
My coolant lines blew out yesterday on my 2019 GMC Sierra 1500. Luckily I purchased the extended warranty and it is still applicable. The rep from the dealership stated I need a new engine or rebuild. I came here to see if this was a common issue. I cannot believe there was no recall for this.
I didn’t have the extended warranty and went past the allowed mileage. I had to fight tooth and nail and had to threaten with a report to BBB. Ultimately, GM gave in and did the service gratis. There should definitely be a recall on this!
LOOK AT BULLETIN #N212326940, JUST HAD MINE REPLACED ON MY 2019 SIERRA(NO OIL FILTER COOLANT EXCHANGE LIKE IT SAID “THE FIX” WOULD BE, MY DEALERSHIP SAID THE OIL, FILTER WAS FOR CANADA AND ALASKA VEHICLES ONLY. THE BULLETIN EXPIRES JULY 31 2023 SO HURRY AND GET YOUR MONEY BACK
I had my hose blow and all the oil dumped back in the early summer…. I plan on buying this truck, but not unless I know the new improvement was done to prevent it from happening again.
What are the chances this was improved when fixed in June of last year?
This is a cold weather issue only so go get it either fixed and updated by a dealer or use some wrap around insulation around the affected lines This isn’t rocket science.I live in Arizona and no issues,2019 Trail Boss.
Late 2018 Silverdo with 5.3 and 8 speed. I was just diagnosed with the problem during a dealer oil change. Apparently they are looking for this issue. there is a recall, but only on Alaska and Canada Silverado’s. They state is it cold weather that causes it. Well I live in the Northwest and we get the same weather as British Columbia. So if I live 2 hours north of me across the border, I get the work done for free, but not where I am. Come on GM. You Screwed Up. Fix it.
The Michigan dealer told me that my lines were leaking and needed replacing on my 2019 Silverado Trail Boss but that this “Customer Satisfaction Program” was only available for Alaska and Canada vehicles. I’d have to pay the $1000.00 bill. I called the Chevrolet Customer Service Number and got the run around. Eventually I spoke with a lady whose kids were crying in the background. She told me that they couldn’t help me. Seems like if it’s a faulty part that would be fixed no matter where the truck is located. So much for a “Customer Service Program”….
Update to reply April 27th 2022. Finally got my 2019 Texas edition truck out of the shop. Instead of replacing the seized engine, they replaced the crank shaft. It lasted one week; engine shut down on the interstate and this time lost not only all the oil, but the coolant as well. Its been in the shop now for over a week and they haven’t had time to look at it. If I wanted a paper weight; I’d have picked something smaller.
UPDATE: After contacting the CEO Of General Motors, Mary Barra, through email and replying to her twitter posts, I was contacted by GM’s resolution team for Ms. Barra and a service visit for inspection was made. While the noise the motor was making was not present at that time due to the warm weather, I was given an additional 100,000 miles to my original factory power train warranty. While the motor was not opened up and looked at, I have full new vehicle power train coverage until 142,000 miles, which I am happy with. While it took some work, GM has stood up and taken responsibility for the problem
I have a 2019 Sierra 1500 with 57k mileage and the oil lines blew last week on the highway going 60. That morning the temp was 27. Local mechanic repaired it for $989 and said that the line came completely undone at the crimp joint. Called GM to request a refund and they said that it only applies to people in Canada and Alaska and that I’m out of luck. This fight isn’t over! Just round one! Time to contact NHTSA.
My 2019 is leaking at 59k . made an appointment at the dealer. Couldn’t get in until it had 61k. They say it’s out of warranty. $1350 to replace. They said the part is $140 and it’s labor intensive, bumper and grill will need to be removed.
If I get this done , are they replacing it with a improved oil line so this don’t happen again.
nothing new as my new 1988 2500 had the aluminum engine oil cooler lines rub thru on the steering box.
I own a 2019 Silverado 1500 and contacted my local dealership here in bowling green Kentucky, I was informed that it would cost me $815 for them to fix this issue, I’d there somewhere else I can take it to get it fixed? I was told since there is not a recall that they will not fix it for free
I was given a quote of $1300 by my GM dealership and the part is on back order
Here is an intelligent thought…..try insulating them if you live in extreme cold weather areas which is what they state that causes the issue.Holy cow,not hard. I bet the latest examples are insulated which is on GM but if they tell us the cause and don’t issue a recall it only makes sense that we take care of it ourselves. I don’t ever need or want to go to the dealership unless it’s a recall because I take care of my rides(5) and do my own maintenance and add on accessories.I don’t need to pay $250 per hour labor which is insane for someone to do something that I can do on a day off. People want to be pampered I guess nowadays, aka too soft.
Just had mine replaced on 2019 Silverado, or so they said. No signs of them being changed. Think they recrimped them. Did not do an oil change. 3 new Silverados since 2016. This is my last!!!!
I didn’t have the extended warranty and went past the allowed mileage. I had to fight tooth and nail and had to threaten with a report to BBB. Ultimately, GM gave in and did the service gratis. There should definitely be a recall on this!
I did a report to BBB. GM they would not budge and I made my appointment at 59,000 miles. And they would not honor it.
I had about the same mileage. I sent them this forum and quotes from GM dealerships repair shops stating it’s a common problem. I also told them I’ve had numerous Chevy/ GM trucks and would not continue to be loyal if they didn’t do what is right.
My 2019 Silverado blew its oil cooler line unexpectedly while driving on the highway this morning. No other warning or leaks – it just blew catastrophic and emptied oil. Low oil pressure chime sounded and I pulled over immediately and shut off engine.. Had it towed to dealer who diagnosed oil cooler line failure and told me the engine had seized. Dealer told me $11,000 for new engine, but also said they had reached out to GM who is willing to pay part of that dropping my cost to $6500. I asked if this was a known problem and was told no. I bought this vehicle new from dealer and had all service work and oil changes done by them. This whole experience didn’t feel right so I told dealer to hold ordering new engine until i gave this some thought. Low and behold i came across this article and all these comments tonight. My dealer’s service department never brought up GM’s Customer Satisfaction Program to replace the faulty oil cooler line during any of my service visits or oil changes. From the sound of it, my battle with GM and the dealer is about to begin.
Wow….$11,000 for new engine? They’re screwing you. I battle them long and hard but ultimately they gave in and paid for the service which was about $900. Is there something else going on? They know this is a common problem and two services dealership told me it was a known defect! Good luck
I deal with McGuire chevy in newton nj and they replaced mine with NO Cost to me.
Help! I have a 2019 GMC serria. With the extended coverage. However I’m over the miles so it’s void. My truck has a light saying ‘low oil shut truck off’ pouring oil everywhere. Believed to be the topic above. I called the number. I had to get it towed to the dealership (roadside is refusing to pay tow bc out of warranty). Dealership is saying no such recall or ‘special order’ was issued from GMC for this part tho they keep stock in this part knowing they have replaced 5 this year alone. Ready to start a class action lawsuit! This is bull. The trucks 4 yrs old. 84k miles (travel for work) GM and dealership are saying this is NOT covered and will cost me $985 the $150 tow fee I already paid. With no reimbursement at all. Super P.O.’ed faulty parts and no recall!?? How do I get this covered? The guy printed off his GMC papers saying there’s no recall or ‘special recall’. I HAD to get it towed. What was I supposed to do?? I am borrowing a vehicle or else they should pay for a rental too! Grrrrr. Junk!
They told me the same thing. I had to file BBB and I showed them evidence that lots of people have this exact same problem….even the mechanics at dealership confirmed this. I also told them I’ve owned many GMC and I will not own another if they don’t slice this problem. They finally did approve for the fix and gave me a loaner while I was waiting for fix.
I had no leaks or warning, line blew completely off & lost all oil immediately, 47k miles. Dealer replaced line and thought no damage done, now I see a drop in running Oil Pressure and Truck not sounding good once up to temperature. I’m watching it closely and expect help from Chevrolet….will be very unhappy if they don’t step up. Had truck since new, serviced regularly and taken well care of. I will go to Ugly lengths if I have to. Good luck to all who’ve had this problem, who knows how much engine life has been lessened by this? May be a year or two down the road for some, only months for others? NOT HAPPY.
I have a 2019 Silverado and mine just blew yesterday. It was towed to the Chevrolet dealer and they are going to pay for the new lines and the tow which I thought was pretty good. However, I am told that usually there is engine damage when the oil runs out and loses pressure, the dealer said my engine is OK but is it really OK. Anyone out there have experience like this?
Mine just started leaking at the crimps on both oil cooler lines. It started after we had a cold snap and the temps were in the low 20s. My truck is 785 miles over the warranty. My local dealership is trying to see what they can do. I can replace them myself but if the dealer does it for no charge that would be great.
I have read a lot about this in the last 36 days. I believe they have started a quiet campaign with the oil cooler hose. ( Not a recall). With all the complaints, hopefully the will correct the issue for you. I would still call GM and complain about the issue. It may not help us but my help with a recall or open campaign. I am telling everyone I see with a GM truck to have their oil cooler hose inspected. If everyone jumps on board, it would definitely send a message to GM and the dealership. I am supposed to find out today if I have to buy a new engine or the warranty place,Costgaurd, will honor the warranty. I finally spoke to Rocky Fizzano this morning at Shelor Motor mile in Christiansburg Virginia. He is the parts and service director. This is the first time someone has articulated what was going on with my truck. He did admit failure in communication and at least heard us out completely. I will update on the outcome. Today is day 38.
GM will NOT honor the recall for our vehicle, they acknowledge there is an issue, but just not enough for our 2019 silverado trail boss so we have to pay to have it fixed. Do better chevy!! Looks like this is getting traded in soon as its fixed!! NOTHING but problems that Chevy consistently ignores!!!
The next big problem would be the engine lifters if you’ve not experienced that already. I had to fight tooth and nail to get them to cover half the cost of 5k to have it fixed. I wonder what else are they not telling us.
Having the same issue on my 2019 Chevy Trail Boss with 80,000. My wife was driving to a doctors appointment , low oil light came on, shortly after that the message about pulling over. She pulled over at the first safe spot. Oil was all over the side of the truck and front of engine. Engine was blown. We had it towed to Shelor Motor Mile in Christiansburg Virginia. It took a week to have it looked at and have to be told that the extended warranty covered the oil cooler hose but have to tear the engine apart to see if the engine blew do to lack of oil for the oil cooler hose blowing. After a few more days Shelor called and said that the engine blowing was due to lack of oil but the only way the warranty place would fix it is if we had the receipts to all of our oil changes. I change my own oil most of the time and have no idea how to retrieve them from my bank statements. We called the warranty place (Costgaurd). They seemed great and said “No problem” they were going to send out their own inspector. A week later we get a call saying that they engine blew do to no oil in the engine and driving with no oil , along with poor maintenance. This is a total joke. Right now still fighting with GM, Shelor and the Costgaurd, trying to find a reasonable person to put 2 and 2 together. Plus Joe ( our representative from Shelor) is a horrible. It sometimes takes days to get back with us. He called my wife today and said it will cost another $1500 to move the truck out of the bay until we if out what we want to do, with addition to the $10028 to replace the engine. This has been going on 34 days. I am trying to reach upper management from Shelor and waiting on GM to get back with us. So far it looks like we have to buy a new engine. Looks like the next truck will not be a Gm or anything from Shelor. They sold us the warranty too. Is it worth going to small claims court? I apologize for the bad grammar. I am a little angry. Any helpful suggestions will be appreciated. I usually would not call out companies or employee’s name but this is completely ridiculous .
I had the same issue with the oil leaking and most recently lifter problems where I have to replace lifters in my engine. I had to fight tooth and nail with GM to get them to pay for the cooling line problem but stating so many people have this same problem so it’s a defective product but you have to show them proof such as this blog. Then came the lifters problem….again tooth and nail. Finally got them to pay for half of the costs
The key is you have to file with the BBB first then they will address the issue.
You have to keep at it. I couldn’t sue in my state mainly because I didn’t have warranty even though only 69,000 miles
I got angry enough to get a Honda with intention of selling my AT4
just happened in my driveway 2019 gmc sierra
Let’s all get together and sue GM .
Oil cooling lines are an issues with pickup trucks don’t know why they put a time frame as to not honor the replacement they know there will be a lot more 7-31-2023 was the deadline
2019 Silverado TrailBoss Z71 (Only 31k miles!) I live in the cold (low teens) mountain weather of Nevada… And all of a sudden the oil coolant lines are dripping oil (Thankfully no blowout!) I’m at the tail end of my extended warranty and the dealer said that they will use my warranty (with additional deductible and costs to me) to fix it… They said 3-4 days to make the repair, but no mention of this being a constant failure! They said because I have the towing package the fix is very labor intensive. Interesting that they already had the parts in stock for the repair. I would say they absolutely know that this is a problem and a common failure! It’s now almost February of 2025, are there any GM recall or repair updates? I will be calling GM tomorrow! I’m IN for any class action lawsuit going forward! This is pathetic!
