C7 Corvette Carbon 65 Edition Hits Harder On Vossen HF-5 Wheels

This C7 Corvette takes the aggression up a notch with a fresh set of Vossen HF-5 wheels, adding a dash of custom style to the mix.

Coming to us from the official Vossen Instagram feed, this C7 Corvette looks great on the new rollers. Sized at 20 inches in diameter, the wheels fill the fender wells nicely, with wide spacing between the spokes to show off the blue-painted brake calipers underneath. The wheels appear to have a Satin Bronze finish, which works well with the gray and blue colors at play elsewhere on the body.

Vossen also offers the HF-5 wheels in Matte Gunmetal and Gloss Black with regard to the standard finishes, as well as Satin Silver, Anthracite, Satin Black, and Gloss Black with regard to the Custom Finishes. Wheel sizing varies between 19 inches and 23 inches in terms of the diameter, and 8.5 inches and 12 inches in terms of width. Pricing starts at $549 per wheel.

As for the car featured here, this is the C7 Corvette Carbon 65 Edition, released for the 2018 model year as a nod to the Corvette nameplate’s 65 anniversary. Offered on 2018 Chevy Corvette Grand Sport 3LT and Z06 3LZ models (this particular model is the Z06), the Carbon 65 Edition included a variety of exterior touches to help it stand out from the rest of the pack.

Naturally, this included a number of carbon fiber upgrades, such as a carbon fiber rear spoiler, quarter ducts, ground effects, hood section, and roof. There’s also carbon flash badges and exterior mirror covers, plus special fender stripes and door graphics, and those cool blue brake calipers, too. The whole thing is draped in Ceramic Matrix Gray paint. The special-edition model also came from the factory with black wheels wrapped in summer-only tires and carbon center caps.

Upgrades continued into the cabin with a carbon fiber-rimmed steering wheel, Jet Black suede upholstery and blue stitching, Competition Sport seats, and a Carbon 65 Edition sill plates.

Production was limited to 650 examples globally.
