Both nice vehicles. I believe the Subaru Crosstrek falls in with these two as well? Segment is getting fuller. Lots to analyze.
The Trailblazer looks nice. If you want more power and space I would go for the Blazer (not Trailblazer).
I’ve been saying that GMC needed a model that was slightly larger than the Trailblazer and it’s exactly what VW did. These models will be more popular than the larger compact models in the coming years. GM could rule the segment by giving each of it’s lower brands distinct models instead of giving Chevy and Buick two of each.
Matter of opinion but both nice vehicles. Not flashly over done with exotic interior type features to raise the cost, more in everyday market. Agreed, this market segment has many to choose from…all too tight not to consider…
Just yesterday I parked in front of a Trailblazer. It looked quite nice and I was surprised as large as it was since it is called a subcompact. It’s a perfect vehicle for someone just getting started or you need to get your kid a vehicle for the college commute.
It’s a no-brainer for VW to be in this segment in NA but their SUV designs feel a little dated. I think the Trailblazer continues to be one of the more successful designs in the segment.
I own a 2021 trailblazer RS and I love it. 1.3 liter engine with only 3 cylinder turbo engine can go from 0-60 in 7 seconds. Braking at 60mph In 2.8 seconds. Handles so well on curves. Has the Camaro interior. Has a race mode, snow mode, ice mode. Plus let me add I get up to 40 mpg 😊
Well done GM!
I love the look of this vehicle, and this article was very helpful in comparing it to other SUV’s. I test drove the Blazer, Equinox, and Trailblazer, and for the price and features the Trailblazer was the best option for me. I ordered my 2022 Trailblazer RS in April, and I can’t wait to get it! Does anyone know when they will be releasing/starting to build the 2022 model, and shipping them to USA?!
