2022 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing Fuel Economy Figures Released In Canada

The 2022 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing brings impressive performance on the race track, but without sacrificing any of the luxury and coddling expected of a model bearing the Cadillac crest. As such, the CT5-V Blackwing makes for a fantastic street machine, and now, the new hot-to-trot sedan’s fuel economy figures have been released in Canada.

The 2022 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing is powered by the supercharged 6.2L V8 LT4 gasoline engine, the same engine used in high-end speed machines like the C7 Chevy Corvette Z06, Chevy Camaro ZL1 / ZL1 1LE, and third-generation Cadillac CTS-V. Cradled by the CT5-V Blackwing, the LT4 produces 668 horsepower at 6,400 rpm and 659 pound-feet of torque at 3,600 rpm. Power is sent exclusively to the rear wheels.

Fuel economy figures differ slightly between models equipped with the standard six-speed manual and those equipped with the optional 10-speed automatic, with the former rated at 18.3 L/100 km in the city, 11.4 L/100 km on the highway, and 15.2 L/100 km combined, and the latter rated at 18.1 L/100 km in the city, 10.7 L/100 km on the highway, and 14.8 L/100 km combined. As such, the 10-speed automatic is the more economical option.

Check out the full fuel economy breakdown below. For reference, we also included the fuel economy for the 2019 Cadillac CTS-V with the 8-speed automatic, which also features the supercharged 6.2L V8 LT4 gasoline engine.

2022 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing Fuel Economy In Canada (Manual Transmission)
Model Transmission City (L/100 km) Highway (L/100 km) Combined (L/100 km)
2022 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing 6-speed manual 18.3 11.4 15.2
2022 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing Fuel Economy In Canada (Automatic Transmission)

2019 Cadillac CTS-V 8-speed automatic 17.1 11.0 14.3

These cars should be rated by smiles per gallon , not miles per gallon 😊😊😊😊😊, because on the track it might get 4.5 mpg.
