The 2022 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing ultra-high-performance luxury sedan will be available as standard with Inteluxe seat upholstery, GM Authority has learned.
For the benefit of readers unfamiliar with the term, Inteluxe is The General’s new name for a familiar material. As GM Authority exclusively reported back in April, the automaker filed to register Inteluxe as a new brand for leatherette upholstery.
At the time, we stated that Inteluxe would make its debut in the 2022 Cadillac XT4 luxury crossover. It has now become apparent that this will happen at around the same time as its introduction to the Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing. Despite the new name, the material itself is unchanged.
Besides Inteluxe leatherette seats, the standard specification for the 2022 CT4-V Blackwing will also include front bucket seats along with a Jet Black with Jet Black accents interior colorway.
Those who want more from the CT4-V Blackwing have other options to choose from. The first is front bucket high-performance seats with either Performance Cloth and Sueded Microfiber or, alternatively, Inteluxe with sueded front seatbacks. In each case, the interior colorway is once again Jet Black with Jet Black inserts.
A second option is Leather Seating Surfaces with Mini-Perforated Custom Quilted inserts and sueded front seatbacks. With this combination, there are three interior colorways to choose from (one of which will be familiar to anyone who read the last two paragraphs), as follows:
- Jet Black with Jet Black accents
- Natural Tan with Jet Black accents
- Sky Cool Gray with Jet Black accents
The Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing is the smaller and more affordable of the two upcoming Cadillac Blackwing models (the other, of course, being the 2022 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing), but it is still a formidable vehicle. Its twin turbocharged 3.6L V6 LF4 gasoline engine is rated at 472 horsepower and 445 pound-feet of torque. It drives the rear wheels (but definitely not all four) through either a standard Tremec six-speed manual gearbox or GM’s optional 10-speed automatic transmission.
It is due to go into production at the GM Lansing Grand River plant in Michigan on July 5th, and will be priced to start at $59,950.

The way I drive I’d probably go for the vinyls anyways. If I want true luxury sports, get a CT5-V or the Germans.
GM leatherette. They all do it. Non luxury leatherette is sometimes top of the line.
