The 2021 GMC Acadia receives a few minor changes and updates such as the addition of wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, new wheel availability, a few new package options, along with three new exterior colors – Cayenne Red Tintcoat, Hunter Metallic, and Midnight Blue Metallic. Here’s a first look at the new blue hue.
Assigned color code GLU and touch-up paint code WA-328E, Midnight Blue Metallic is the only blue exterior finish available for the 2021 GMC Acadia. In fact, the 2020 Acadia did not offer a blue exterior color option.
As the name indicates, the Midnight Blue Metallic hue is a deep navy blue color. Notably, two of the three new exterior colors are metallic paint options, bringing the total number of metallic colors to five for the 2021 Acadia.
In total, there are eight available colors for the 2021 GMC Acadia, including:
- White Frost Tricoat
- Satin Steel Metallic
- Summit White
- Ebony Twilight Metallic
- Hunter Metallic
- Red Mahogany Metallic
- Cayenne Red Tintcoat
- Midnight Blue Metallic
Notably, Summit White is the only exterior paint color included in the base price of the 2021 GMC Acadia. The Midnight Blue Metallic color is not included in the price of the 2021 GMC Acadia, as it costs an extra $495. It is available in conjunction with all interior color combinations and trim levels except for the base, SL, model.
2021 GMC Acadia Trim Levels:
- SL (1SV)
- SLE (3SA)
- SLT (4SA)
- AT4 (4SB)
- Denali (5SA)
2021 GMC Acadia Interior Color Combinations:
- Jet Black
- Cocoa with Light Ash Gray
- Dark Galvanized with Light Shale
As of this writing, dealer inventory of 2021 GMC Acadia is sparse due to the ongoing microchip shortage, which appears to be impacting the GM Spring Hill factory in Tennessee that assembles the Acadia. We recommend checking with your dealer about models coated in the Midnight Blue Metallic paint.
