2021 Chevy Tahoe Looks Mean Wrapped In Army Green

The owner of a 2021 Chevy Tahoe has given his full-size SUV a mean custom exterior appearance by wrapping it in a unique matte green shade evocative of the tactical green hue that sometimes adorns military vehicles.

The owner of the vehicle shared photos of his uniquely customized 2021 Chevy Tahoe on a Facebook group for owners of GM full-size SUVs. The Michigan-based Chevy enthusiast says the vinyl used here is an Avery Dennison brand Military Green wrap, which cost him about $5,700 installed. He didn’t stop at the army green wrap, though, also applying matte red vinyl to various exterior trim pieces, including the front lip, running boards and the front and rear Chevy Bowtie logos.

Other upgrades applied to this 2021 Chevy Tahoe include gloss black painted ‘Snowflake’ style aftermarket 26-inch wheels, dark five percent tint on the side windows and 35 percent tint on the windshield. As a short aside, non reflective window tint is permitted to be used on windshields in Michigan, however it must only be applied to the top four inches of the windshield. Any darkness of tint can also be used on the side and rear windows of a vehicle.

This custom Chevy Tahoe is a great example of the kind of custom work that can be done with vinyl wrapping. While a full vinyl wrap such as this is not cheap by any means, it’s a fairly quick way to change the color of a vehicle and more importantly, it’s reversible. If the owner of this vehicle ever sells it, they can just pull their wrap off and reveal the pristine, factory-fresh paintwork that has been hiding underneath.

  2. It wouldn’t be my personal choice but it’s not mine, the important thing is if he likes it. Wraps are popular with YouTubers because it helps them stand out and get views. (Not sure if this guy has a channel or not) The typical wrap lasts an average of 5 years but will show damage much sooner depending on how it’s used. I would take that $5,700 and put it towards something that lasts a bit longer, but if he can afford it and it makes him happy, then go for it.

  5. SUV’s and trucks with low profile tires and big wheels look dumb to start out with so the green wrap doesn’t even help.

    1. Agreed. I get that the owner is going for a certain look but IMO it takes away too much from of the utility of the vehicle.

  8. Great way to create attention in Tijuana! Next, he will add the saint toys on the dashboard, hang the crucifix in the rearview mirror, and start cruising at the tune of mariachis!

Even though I have the new Tahoe and love mariachis, I still would not waste the money to cover the original paint on mine!

  12. I like the concept. I do not like the pink trim pieces tho.

Probably some military grey or even sand would fit better than that confused pink color they picked. But ignoring that, i like it. would drive.
