The 2021 Cadillac CT5 brings about minor changes and updates, such as the addition of Super Cruise, Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and the Buckle to Drive feature. The luxury sedan also see the addition of two new exterior colors to its palette: Diamond Sky Metallic and Infrared Tintcoat. Here’s our first look at the new red hue.
Assigned color code GSK and touch-up paint code WA-252F, Infrared Tintcoat is the only tintcoat paint option available for the 2021 CT5. It is also one of three red hues available for the luxury sedan, along with Velocity Red and Garnet Metallic. The Infrared hue falls in the middle of the three options, with Velocity Red being the brightest red and Garnet Metallic being a deep red. Red Obsession Tintcoat was deleted after the 2020 model year, which was very similar to the Infrared Tintcoat color option presented here.
In total, there are 12 available colors for the 2021 Cadillac CT5, including:
- Infrared Tintcoat
- Crystal White Tricoat
- Velocity Red
- Diamond Sky Metallic
- Satin Steel Metallic
- Summit White
- Black Raven
- Evergreen Metallic
- Shadow Metallic
- Wave Metallic
- Garnet Metallic
- Dark Moon Blue Metallic
Interestingly, Summit White and Black Raven are the only two color options included in the base price of the sedan.
The new Infrared Tintcoat color is not included in the base price of the 2021 Cadillac CT5, and costs an additional $1,225, which raises the base price of the vehicle to $40,015, including the $1,195 destination charge. The color is available in conjunction with all trim levels and five of six interior color combinations, excluding Sky Cool Gray with Jet Black. Notably, this color is also available for the 2021 CT5-V as well as the upcoming 2022 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing.

As of this writing, dealer inventory of 2021 Cadillac CT5 models is sparse due to the ongoing microchip shortage, which has impacted the GM Lansing Grand River plant that assembles the CT5. We recommend checking with your dealer about availability of models coated in the new Infrared Tintocat paint.
