New Jersey-based tuner Speciality Vehicle Engineering (SVE) has made a name for itself by reviving the iconic Yenko name for a series of specially tuned, limited-edition GM vehicles. It recently pulled the cover off of its new 2021 Yenko/SC Chevy Silverado California Edition earlier this month and now it’s back with a new Chevy Camaro based California Edition model.
The 2021 Yenko Chevy Camaro California Edition is based on the sixth-generation Chevy Camaro SS and features the factory 6.2L LT1 V8 engine. The V8 has been topped off with SVE’s own 3.0L twin-screw supercharger, however, and features an oversized air-to-water intercooler and an aluminum high-flow intake manifold. These upgrades boost the output of the V8 motor to 750 horsepower – giving it more than enough power to justify the Yenko name. SVE says the engine is also 50-state emissions compliant and can be ordered with either the Camaro’s standard six-speed manual transmission or the available GM 10-speed automatic.
Like other SVE models, the 2021 Yenko Chevy Camaro California Edition also features an abundance of additional Yenko and SVE exterior branding and badging, including Yenko-branded Brembo brake calipers with available color finishes, Yenko S/C body stripes, a Yenko-branded hood and Yenko S/C door sill plates. All models will also come with SVE forged lightweight multi-spoke wheels shod in Nitto tires, Yenko S/C branded floor mats and seat headrests and Yenko-branded key fobs.
All SVE models are available to order from GM dealerships and come with a 3 year/36,000 mile (60,000 kilometer) powertrain limited warranty and 3 year/36,000 mile (60,000 kilometer) non-powertrain component limited warranty. The California Edition can be ordered with the LT1, 1SS and 2SS trim levels and is available as either a coupe or convertible.

Prices?
I like it. 750 hp Pony car can run from 65k – 80k depending on the base model before modifying. 750hp motor itself can run over 17k, which is the biggest modification expense. It’s worth it. Adding a monster motor you will need a drive line beefed up to handle the HP but more importantly the torque from the tranny to the rear wheels including brakes. Not to mention the suspension and chassis to handle the twist of the torque from a dead stop take off.
I didn’t see the ZL1 as a base model so new parts would be required. Maybe SVE is using the ZL1 parts…
As the old saying goes, “If you have to ask the price, you can’t afford it…” lol… it would be nice to know the prices too.
But why the “California” edition? Doesn’t that state gov’t have a more tree hugging, Prius/Tesla loving mentality? They want to ban all ICE vehicles by 2035.
Seems this may be better called something else.

Do some quick research…
These SVE packages cost an additional $75-100k ON TOP of the price of your 2021 Camaro SS. You’re looking at a ~$150k Camaro here.
I really like the Ss truck….
