The Chevy Equinox receives a mid-cycle refresh for the 2022 model year. The refresh was initially set to take place for the 2021 model year, but was delayed due to difficulties associated with the COVID-19 pandemic.
Arguably the biggest change to the 2022 Chevy Equinox are the front and rear ends, which align the popular Chevy CUV with the brand’s current design direction. On the topic of the exterior, the 2022 Chevy Equinox is offered in eight exterior colors, which we will profile here.
Below, we list the 2022 Chevy Equinox exterior colors. Note that six of the eight 2022 Equinox colors are included in the base price of the vehicle except for Iridescent Pearl Tricoat and Cherry Red Tintcoat, which are expected to carry an additional cost of $645 and $1,225, respectively.

I think gm authority is running out of material to write I keep reading sane material about equinox. Which is fine but I would really want to know why gm is deleting the 2.0 in this vehicle but still offering in a few of there other vehicles
You can get any interior you want as long as it’s Jet Black. This gets pathetic gm.
Interior Color Options
Medium Ash Gray
Jet Black
Jet Black with Maple Sugar
It’s still Jet Black but with highlights of Maple Sugar and leather only, or Medium Ash Gray in accent areas only with the interior still being Jet Black. 😀
They need to delete the 2022 picture that still shows the Equinox with the dual exhausts and 2.0T badge as that is canceled.
Joe it’s gm there sleep at the wheel I agree
Joe I think u and I should work for gm we probably make wiser and educated and experienced decision that would make customers keep coming back buying gm product giving future customers what they want !!
How much more is the 6 cylinder?
What happened to the orange? I’m planning on a new one for 2022 and really wanted the orange.
GM please come up with more exterior color choices. Love that Seaglass blue for 2022 Equinox but what about a nicer green like Subaru or the Ford Edge and Jeep. Also loving the new Blazer’s opaque Smoky Beige but out of my price range. I also like the black interior and have no problem with basic black as a stand-by option.
I’m searching for my next lease or purchase. Color is a major factor for me after leasing Black, dark blue and gray vehicles over the past 15 years. I find GM color selection really lacking. What about an opaque Smoky Green or blue-gray? I also like the black interior and have no problem with basic black as a stand-by option. Btw: love the Chevy Equinox!
I just bought a 2021 Equinox LS in late June of 2021 and the vehicle has the start/stop feature. It sounds as if this was going to be discontinued for 2021. Can the dealership I purchased the vehicle from still install it?
I’ve owned 58 cars in the past 40 years, chevy equinox is the best all around vehicle made. It has been trouble free , I’ve had four Equinox since they came out, I’ve driven lots of other cars, it’s always back to the Equinox Premiere. I’ve just orders a 2022 to replace my 2000. Yep, I buy alot of cars, it’s a sickness !!
Hi Melvin I’m assuming u are purchasing a new equinox with the 1.5 engine I myself would like to purchase a new 2022 refresh Terrain Denali but I’m not quite sure about the 1.5 even though gm dropped the 2.0 l Engine both on the equinox and the terrain will it be adequate for this vehicle being that you owned a lot of gm product just wondering what your thoughts on the 1.5 engine
Thanks for replying Kim greatly appreciated thank you !!
