Styling and aesthetics is a common point of contention among Chevy pickup fans, with some buyers loving the look of the Bow Tie’s latest design direction, and others, well, not so much. Now, GM Design is taking another dive into this hot topic with this futuristic Chevy pickup concept.
Coming to us from the official GM Design Instagram feed (@generalmotorsdesign), this Chevy pickup concept was created by Jacky Zhan, Creative Designer at Chevrolet Design Studio, and it looks as though it’s an evolution of the current Chevrolet truck styling aesthetic.
Up front, we spot a multi-tiered fascia, with multiple horizontal black bars breaking up a grille insert underneath, giving the Chevy pickup a tough, yet technical vibe. The lighting elements are ultra-thin, found along the outer edges of the hood, as well as in the corners of the grille. The hood also features sinewy bumps and ridges that give it a sportier feel, while lower in the fascia, we spot what could be a skid plate.
That sporty feel continues into the profile with massive wheels, which sit under the pumped-up fender arches and a somewhat elevated stance. The doors include flush door handles that keep the profile nice and clean, while the bronze orange body panels are offset by black trim bits and a white roof. We also notice a fin in the window line that mirrors the raised hood, while indents in the hood add further character.
We’d love to see more of the design, but unfortunately, we only have this front three-quarters view. Still, it’s an interesting look all the same.

To note, this is not the refreshed 2022 Chevy Silverado, but rather, it looks as though it’s a possible design direction for some other future Chevy pickup model.
