Driving the Chevy Silverado pickup, you’d be forgiven for thinking you could go just about anywhere. However, the forgiveness stops for those drivers who actually act on that feeling by driving like the individual behind the wheel of the pickup featured in the following brief video.
Coming to us from social news website reddit, this video is quite short, clocking in at just 13 seconds. However, during that time, we bear witness to the full face-palm, jaw-dropping idiocy that is the driver of this poor Chevy Silverado pickup.
The video was shot in Dallas, and shows a Chevy Silverado pickup truck perched on a concrete barrier adjacent to a highway. A Dallas County Sheriff officer is parked next to the stranded Chevy, lights flashing, and the video is taken from a passing motorist.
The truck appears to be stuck halfway between the adjacent grass and the highway, high-centered on the concrete barrier. The front end doesn’t appear to be damaged, nor does there appear to be damage elsewhere on the truck beyond some bent components on top of the concrete.
Perhaps we should give the driver the benefit of the doubt and assume there was some external force out of their control that led to the Chevy Silverado’s rather precarious position. Perhaps they were avoiding an accident and lost control. Maybe there was a mechanical failure. The story, at this point, is not clear.
Either way, the whole situation certainly doesn’t have very good optics. What it looks like is the driver wanted to make their own onramp by sliding down the adjacent grassy area and hopping the barrier onto the highway. And, if that is indeed what happened, it wasn’t exactly a smart move on their part.
At the very least, it looks like no one was hurt beyond some bruised pride, so that’s something.

Chevrolet – Find New Ramps
IDK about extenuating circumstances but that person is in the running for stupid S.O.B. of the year
“Truck in gear, brain in neutral.”.
Tear up his license and put him in prison for a while. He is not safe to be driving on public roads.
Looks like an ID TEN-T error. Here, I’ll write it like this – IDIOT.
LOL, Have not heard that a lot since my military days in the 80’s!
Probably trying to catch Mary Barra on her way to ruining more GM nameplates.
Proof that his brain function was only at 50% capacity.
The exact prime example in when owning/driving any full-size vehicle(new or old). Doesn’t make the driver “Idiot Proof”.
Obviously he wasn’t looking at the road, more likely looking down at his smart phone.
LMAO.
