The fifth-generation 2022 Nissan Pathfinder debuted back in February, teeing up a fresh rival for several General Motors vehicles. We’ve already looked at how the new Pathfinder compares to the GMC Acadia, so now, we’re comparing the Pathfinder to the 2021 Chevy Traverse with regard to exterior dimensions, interior dimensions, and cargo room.
Exterior Dimensions
Looking over the specs, we find that the 2022 Nissan Pathfinder is quite a bit smaller than the 2021 Chevy Traverse, with every measurement tipped to the Chevy. The biggest size difference is the wheelbase, with the Traverse 6.7 inches longer than the 2022 Nissan Pathfinder. This is also reflected in the overall length, where the Traverse is 6.6 inches longer. The rest of the exterior dimensional differences are an inch or less.

GM vehicles are always a better purchase than any of the imports. Why compare U.S. prime against Japanese junk.
True. With the gm vehicle you get good solid products, whereas the imports are tin cans.
hahaha!!! good one!!!
What? Lol. Have you seen reliability of domestics… for the past 20 years???
who is buying 20 year old cars, lets focus on more recent years, jd powers long term reliability study is over the past 3 years, check it out https://www.jdpower.com/business/press-releases/2020-us-vehicle-dependability-study.
Ummm, your comments, are they supposed to be “satire”?
If not, are you aware that the Traverse is made in Springfield, Tn and the Pathfinder is made 45 miles to the east in Smyrna, Tn?
Are you aware that according to RepairPal, the Pathfinder is rated 17 of 26 in mid size SUV for reliability vs Traverse at 22 of 26?
Were you aware that Nissan is rated at 8th in manufacture reliability and Chevrolet is no where to be found until the 22 spot?
The crap your spewing I heard in the early 1970’s when the Japanese automotive invasion started.
No GM or Ford have even caught up with the Japanese, even after 50 years, as that “garbage” they are selling are all in the top 10 in consumer reliability. No GM or Ford came close to the top ten.
And I am a loyal GM truck owner, but the truth and facts are what they are!
Further, Nissan is probably the worst Japanese/Koreanbrand (at least among the bigs). Nissan is thankfully giving up on the CVT for its Pathfinder for 2022, that absolute piece of junk CVT they use… I ALWAYS look at domestic alternatives and perhaps the Cadillac xt6 will be what we can get (I have a very tall sitting height) or the GLE, or when the Pathfinder comes out I will sit in one.
GM, 85% didn’t make it home, the 15% made it. Not solid as a rock lol
That traverse is a weak little sister to Chevy’s trucks. It can only tow 5000 pounds with its two highest end trims. Everything else can only tow 1500 pounds. Every Pathfinder can tow 6000 pounds. So you can keep your weak little sister, and pretend it’s somehow “prime.”
Prices would have been nice also.
Gm can eat a dick Nissan isn’t trash like that cracked head every valve rattles oil leaks every time is what Chevrolet stands for. Tesla is looking better than both and if gas goes the way it did when obummer was in office I’ll be glad to own a tesla
Duh huh! That was a good one!
