The 2021 Chevy Silverado MD (Medium Duty) line – which consists of 4500HD, 5500HD, and 6500HD models – brings various minor changes and updates, such as the addition of new standard StabiliTrak and Neutral-at-Stop options, an open rear axle, along with five new exterior color – Mosaic Black Metallic, Shadow Gray Metallic, Satin Steel Metallic, Smokey Quartz Metallic, and Northsky Blue Metallic. Here’s our first look at the new Northsky Blue hue.
Assigned color code GA0 and touch-up paint code WA-619D, Northsky Blue Metallic is one of two blue exterior paint color options available for the 2021 Silverado MD, with the second being Deep Ocean Blue Metallic. The Northsky Blue Metallic hue is similar to the Deep Ocean Blue Metallic color, but Northsky Blue is slightly darker than the Deep Ocean Blue color. Notably, Deep Ocean Blue Metallic is the only paint option that is not included in the base price of the vehicle.
It is also worth noting all five colors that are new for the 2021 model year are metallic paint options, bringing the total number of metallic paint colors to nine. Interestingly, no exterior paint options were deleted for the 2021 Silverado MD, meaning that there’s now a total of 12 exterior color options available for the 2021 Silverado Medium Duty line.
The new Northsky Blue Metallic color is included in the base price of the 2021 Silverado Medium Duty. It’s also available in conjunction with all trim levels and interior color combinations.
2021 Silverado Medium Duty Trim Levels:
- Work Truck (1WT)
- LT (1LT)
2021 Silverado Medium Duty Interior Color Combinations:
- Jet Black
- Dark Ash with Jet Black
As of this writing, Chevrolet dealers are well-stocked with the 2021 Silverado Medium Duty. Models in the Northsky Blue exterior color are not widely available, since most of the landed Silverado Medium Duty inventory appears to be in a white color. We recommend contacting a dealer to check for complete availability details.
