The 2021 Cadillac Escalade introduces an all-new fifth-generation, offering revised styling, a new cabin, the latest tech features, and a new diesel engine option. Now, Escalade customers can add extra stopping power to their SUV with the new six-pot Brembo brake upgrade.
The new Brembo brake upgrade for the 2021 Cadillac Escalade is tagged with RPO code 5JL, and is officially called the Front 6-Piston Brembo Brake Upgrade with Color Matched Rear Calipers. As the name suggests, the upgrade includes Brembo six-piston front calipers, which clamp down on 16.1-inch by 1.3-inch Duralife rotors. The front calipers are finished in red and present the Cadillac logo across the face, adding a custom flair to the look. The package also includes a matching red finish for the rear calipers.
The Front 6-Piston Brembo Brake Upgrade with Color Matched Rear Calipers for the 2021 Cadillac Escalade is offered as an LPO-level option, which means it is delivered to and installed by the dealer, rather than installed at the factory. Pricing is set at $3,495. The upgrade is available on Sport and Sport Platinum trim levels, and requires the Onyx Package, which costs $2,295.
The 2021 Cadillac Escalade is also available with a Performance Air Intake System and Cat-Back Performance Exhaust System for those buyers looking to get a little more juice under the hood.
For reference, the 2021 Cadillac Escalade is offered with two engine options, including the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 L87, which produces 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque, and the fuel-efficient 3.0L I6 LM2 turbodiesel Duramax, which produces 277 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. Both engines mate to the GM 10-speed automatic transmission.
The latest 2021 Cadillac Escalade also features an all-new independent rear suspension, which enhances the SUV’s ride quality, steering responsiveness, and driver control. Complementing this is available Magnetic Ride Control and new Air Ride Adaptive Suspension.
