GM Issues Fix For Chevy Equinox And GMC Terrain Fuse Block Cover

General Motors has issued a service update for certain examples of the 2021 Chevy Equinox and 2021 GMC Terrain crossovers due to an issue related to the rear fuse block cover diagram.

The problem: in affected vehicles, the diagram on the rear fuse block cover may have incorrect fuse values displayed on it. This can make it hard for owners or service technicians to determine which values to use when changing the fuses in the fuse block.

The hazards: while the installed fuses in affected vehicles are correct, the diagram indicating which value fuses to use is incorrect. Using the wrong value fuse can lead to various operational and electrical problems in the vehicle.

The fix: dealers are instructed to add a new sticky adhesive label to the rear fuse block cover that has the correct fuse values indicated on it. These repairs will be performed at no cost to the vehicle owner. This service update applies to both vehicles in dealer inventory and customer vehicles that return to the dealership for any reason.

Affected vehicles:

Affected components: rear fuse block cover diagram.

Number of affected vehicles: GM did not say how many vehicles are affected by this problem.
