The GM Authority Take
Thanks to the healthy increase in volume, Chevy Suburban and Tahoe sales in the first quarter enabled the Bow Tie brand to maintain its long-standing position as the undisputed sales leader in the mainstream, full-size SUV sales.
We attribute the jump in Chevrolet Suburban and Tahoe deliveries during Q1 to the following factors:
- Heightened interest and consideration in the all-new 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe and 2021 Chevrolet Suburban, and
- Improved availability of both models compared to the prior quarter
Going forward, we expect Chevy Suburban and Tahoe sales to continue to increase substantially, given that production/supply remains uninterrupted.

The Tahoe and Yukon are gorgeous vehicles. Extremely refined.
Always a class leader for GM so let’s screw it up and move them to ev platform.
GM needs more of this success across the board.
Still haven’t seen a diesel Tahoe or suburban
I have a Yukon with the diesel, picked it up at end of January. Almost 10k miles later, I love it. Just got back from a 500 mile road trip, averaging 30 mpg.
I just picked up my Yukon Denali Diesel a few weeks ago…..nice riding truck…..around town about 21 mpg……see GM raised the price on the delivery charge by $400.00 …..
That is just a hidden price increase.
