Chevrolet Performance Sponsors Goodguys Builders Of The Year Award

Chevrolet Performance will sponsor the inaugural Builders of the Year Award during this year’s sixteen-event Goodguys Rod & Custom Association season.

Beginning with the 11th FiTech Fuel Injection Spring Nationals in Scottsdale, Arizona this weekend, Chevrolet Performance will serve as the title sponsor for the newly introduced Goodguys Chevrolet Performance Builders of the Year award. Two of these awards will be given out during each Goodguys car show event – one which will recognize and showcase the top GM vehicle, and one the top non-GM vehicle. The automaker will also serve as the title sponsor of the Goodguys Chevrolet Performance Builder’s Choice Saturday Special Area – a section of the show dedicated to the frontrunners for the Builder’s Choice awards.

“This is special in many ways, but the most significant piece is Chevrolet’s support in recognizing, not only the cars, but the builders who developed them,” Goodguys VP of Sales and Partnerships, Jason Snyder, said this week. “Chevrolet Performance is legendary in respect to performance and hot-rodding, but also with new emerging technology that allows the hot-rodding and custom community to continue to break new ground. To have Chevrolet Performance support Builders Choice and recognize professional builders is special for all involved.”

This year’s Goodguys event schedule features sixteen hot rod-focused car show events splayed across thirteen markets in the United States. The shows are open to custom hot rods and other classic vehicle builds through to the 1987 vintage. The events will also play host to the Goodguys AutoCross timed racing series, which will conclude with a championship round featuring the 32 fastest challengers at the Goodguys 24th Speedway Motors Southwest Nationals in Scottsdale, Arizona later this year.

“Chevrolet Performance is proud to collaborate with Goodguys and recognize builders who are passionate about Hot Rods and Performance,” Todd Gallant, Chevrolet Performance marketing manager, said in a statement. “This is an exciting opportunity for us to connect with our loyal enthusiasts.”

The 11th FiTech Fuel Injection Spring Nationals in Scottsdale will kick off on April 16th, 2021.

  1. I’ve had a CT5 ordered since around Jan. 10th and still no delivery. The Caddy dealer tells me they don’t have solenoid chips. I don’t know what to do. Any comments?
