2022 Chevy Bolt EV And Bolt EUV Configurators Now Live

The online configurator tool for the 2022 Chevy Bolt EV and Chevrolet Bolt EUV has officially gone live on Chevy’s website.

The configurator for the Chevy Bolt EV and Bolt EUV allows users to select their preferred trim level for the electric compact cars and choose from the seven available exterior colors and two available interior colors. The configurator also allows users to add any available equipment packages and options to the vehicle and receive a pricing summary for their preferred specification.

Our example vehicle in this article is a 2022 Chevy Bolt EUV in the Premier trim, finished in the Bright Blue Metallic exterior color and featuring the Dark Ash Gray/Sky Cool Grey interior color. We also selected the limited-run Launch Edition package, a $5,000 option that includes GM’s Super Cruise hands-free driver assistance system, Enhanced Automatic Emergency Braking, a power dual-pane sunroof, 10.2-inch color touchscreen with the Chevrolet Infotainment 3 Plus system, Bose seven-speaker stereo, 17-inch Dark Android painted aluminum wheels and an illuminated charging port. The total price of this vehicle is $43,890 with destination, including a $38,495 base price for the Premier trim, $395 upcharge for the Bright Blue Metallic paint and $5,000 Launch Edition package.

Our example Chevy Bolt EV, meanwhile, takes a more budget-friendly approach. It’s based on the entry-level LT trim, features the no-cost Mosaic Black Metallic exterior paint, a Jet Black cloth interior and the only option are the 17-inch Machined-face aluminum wheels with carbon flash painted pockets, which carry a small $295 surcharge. This model rings in at $32,290 including destination – more than $10,000 less than our handsomely equipped Bolt EUV.

The 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EV and Bolt EUV share the same GM BEV2 platform, 65 kWh lithium-ion battery and front-mounted permanent magnet electric motor. The motor drives the front wheels and is rated at 200 horsepower and 266 pound-feet of torque. The Bolt EV can travel up to 259 miles on a full charge and the taller Bolt EUV is good for an estimated 250 miles. The Bolt EV starts at $31,995, while the Bolt EUV is priced from $33,995.

  3. The competition makes these obsolete. Where’s the much hyped Ultium technology?

  4. GM needs the Ultium EV’s ASAP as these Bolt vehicles will not cut it in the current EV segment.

    1. Ultium is just an empty brand name. Like Build Back Better.

    2. These are entry level electric vehicles, nothing too fancy. I criticized them too at first, but I see where GM is going with them. Higher performance long range EVs with more daring designs are coming.

      1. The Chevy Bolt EUV starts at $33,000

        A Tesla Model 3 Starts at $38,500

Like I have been saying, these vehicles are way too expensive for what they are. They charge Super Slow so you cannot Fast Charge quickly enough on a Road Trip. Not sure why these two Bolts do not start at 25K and 28K

  5. With the discounts on the current bolt, you could get one for like 23k. That’s a solid deal if you can get these ones for that price in 10 months…

    1. Wait and buy used for 10k.

  6. More inaccurate information from this writer: The battery used to be 66 kwh when new – now derated to 65 kwh. But the 60 kwh battery is only used in the “Crate Engine” project. It is not used in any current Bolt EV or the upcoming EUV.
