1964 Chevy Impala Lowrider Joins Hot Wheels Collectors Series

A 1964 Chevy Impala lowrider has been added to the Hot Wheels Collectors’ series special edition lineup.
This custom purple and pink Chevy Impala lowrider will be made available exclusively for Hot Wheels members this week. The 1:64 scale diecast features a custom paint job with airbrushed-style hearts and roses, purple interior upholstery, gold Dayton-style 100-spoke wheels and chrome exterior trim. Hot Wheels is all about attention to detail, too, so this scale model also features a 1960s black and yellow California license plate reading ‘S’Low’ – a reference to this lowrider’s sloth-like acceleration and ridiculously low air ride suspension. Other small details include an aftermarket billet steering wheel and a custom stereo with speakers embedded in the rear parcel shelf.
The Hot Wheels members that buy this limited-edition 1964 Chevy Impala will also receive a pink and purple collector’s box with heart and rose graphics on it, along with a matching mirrored display platform for showing the model off.
“Our inaugural release of the ’64 Impala comes with a rose deco and is ready for a close-up,” Hot Wheels says of this newly launched diecast. “The adjustable axles allow for many unique poses as this Spectraflame magenta flower can sit low, sit high, or be positioned side-to-side. You won’t want to miss this lowrider as ‘The Rose’n One’ becomes available at HWC on 4/13/21.”
Hot Wheels members will be able to purchase this limited-run model as of April 13th, 2021. Special-edition Hot Wheels Collectors series cars like this are hard to come by, so any readers who want to put this one in their collection should make an account and get their payment information ready before the official launch later this week. “The license plate may imply that our six-four is “S’LOW,” but you’ll have to be fast if you want one for yourself to show,” Hot Wheels proclaims.
