Last year, the organizers for LS Fest West were forced to cancel the annual celebration of the General Motors LS V8 engine due to the COVID-19 pandemic – a major letdown for all the diehard GM fans situated on the west coast. We’re now happy to report that LS Fest West will go forth for 2021, with the event set to be held at Las Vegas Motor Speedway the weekend of April 23rd.
This year’s LS Fest West event will include an autocross challenge, burnout challenge, off-roading course, a Show-N-Shine car show, a drag racing grudge matches, drag racing classes and a dyno challenge, among more. The GM-themed meet is open to 1997 or later LS or LT V8 powered vehicles, though vehicles with LS swaps are also welcome at the show, including imports, street rods, trucks, muscle cars and more.
“We are extremely excited to announce that preregistration for the 2021 Holley LS Fest in Las Vegas, Nevada is now open,” show organizers said in a post on their webpage. “If you missed us last year (and we know you did, we saw the posts, the messages, and the videos), then prepare yourselves, because we are returning to Las Vegas Motor Speedway with a vengeance! We aren’t changing up the formula. If you have a vehicle that is powered by a GM LS or modern LT engine, it will be there and you should be too.”
LS Fest will be enforcing local and state COVID-19 guidelines throughout the weekend. Social distancing will be practiced, attendees will have their temperatures checked at the main entrance gate and masks will be required at all times within the venue. Holley will also be handing out masks on-site for those attendees who lose or forget theirs.
Registration for the 2021 Holley LS Fest is open now.
