  1. I voted for the maroon as it’s quite similar to my CT4 color. But the blue looks nice too. The other two, no thanks. Now, will Buick get smart and make the body colored molding around the wheels and bottom standard on all models instead of on just a small number of colors with the ST package? If Buick wants to be truly premium, then they shouldn’t produce stuff that would pass as a Toyota or Kia!

  2. Hey I am no Toyota fan but have you seen the first new generation Toyota Avalon? Kia on the other hand they look nice when new but fail apart in five years… trust me I know my friend is a mechanic. Buick still builds great looking cars instead of black plastic how about a retro 90’s two tone paint like used to do on the Blazer like a midnight blue on the doors and grey or silver along the bottom of the vehicle…my other grip is does every single new car have to look so angry.

  4. You say Buick great looking cars. What about reliability, mechanically, electric, computerized equipment, transmission, engine, radiator, brakes especially the automatic brakes, battery fire, oil mix with gasoline? Why is looks so important?, but rarely anything I have listed. I am not making fun of you. I am serious. All makes usually have something seriously wrong, some years better than others. I have a 2018 leased Buick to be turned in July 2021 that I want to buy. Rated a 5 out of 5 except engine, and 2 out of 5 for inside space. Good on gas. In your opinion which is better compact to buy in SUV, Toyota Rav, Subaru Forester, Kia, Nissan for all have mentioned.? Certified, used and or new? Reply ease.

    1. Here’s one. I’ve owned my 2020 encore GX for 8 1/2 months without issues and only one recall that I never even noticed regarding a brake sensor. very good gas mileage, no rattles at this time, smooth on smooth payment and slightly rough on uneven pavement. All electrical working A-OK, air conditioner and heater perfect.

    2. Ann: I’ve been in the auto business for just over 19 years total now (sales, parts, service and now fleet department). I’ve seen/sold about every make/model you can imagine in used cars. I’ve sold Buick, Cadillac, GMC, Honda, Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep and now Volvo/Mazda. I’ve owned a lot of new cars (mostly GM or Jeeps and even a few import brands). My last Buick was a 2018 Encore that was a fantastic vehicle for the 2 1/2 years I had it. In my opinion, it’s difficult to beat the Buick’s overall and I’m not selling them any more. I would highly recommend the Buick over any of the brands you listed.

Finally, take a good look at any of the JD Power reports. Buick has ranked quite high for many years now going all the way back to the late 80’s. I’m now driving a 2020 Cadillac that I really do love, but there’s a good chance my next ride will be the all new Buick Envision.

      2. If only the Buick Encore were a tad bit longer & more leg room in rear seat.
Also turn signal indicators on the mirrors. What’s up with the antenna sticking up instead of a plain shark fin? Need actual dual exhausts instead of fake looking ones.

    3. Going into the 4th year on a Buick Envision lease. Love this vehicle. Not a single issue to date. Traded in my Audi A4 . Service costs and repairs where too expensive.

  6. I wouldn’t buy a Buick that is made in China period. Do I like Buick, I used to but not anymore. Sure the Encore is a good looking SUV, but I am very territorial, and strongly believe Buck is an American brand and therefore should be Made is the USA for me to purchase it. If it is not USA first, I am not interested so count me out. I rather buy a Honda, Toyota, or Subaru made here in the USA build by American workers than a Buick made in China. Sorry I don’t have anything against the Chinese, is just that I don’t like the way those people in their gov are strangling our economy. Yes, I believe in America First policies to protect the American workers and their jobs. Just my opinion please don’t take it personally.

    1. Albert: You are a sellout if you are willing to do the following; ” I rather buy a Honda, Toyota, or Subaru made here in the USA build by American workers than a Buick made in China.”

So first, the Encore is not built in China for the USA. It’s assembled in South Korea at the GM plant. Second, why would it be ok to buy an import brand and send the profits back to Japan but it’s not ok to buy an American brand where the profits stay in the USA? Double standard? Yup. Lastly, you have numerous American brands to choose from that do assemble the vehicles in the USA.

      1. Couldn’t have said it better myself Dan, Toyota, Nissan and Honda have become to expensive…and if you read about new cars online there ratings have gone down…and I don’t mean consumer reports. I would buy any GM vehicle made any where, also think about the plants that GM and Ford have in Mexico and China help with the immigration to the USA! But nobody sees it that way.
