2022 Chevy Bolt EUV Launch Edition Reservations Completely Spoken For

The 2022 Chevy Bolt EUV Launch Edition was made available for reservation through Chevrolet‘s website shortly after the electric crossover’s debut last month. Those customers that were hoping to get their hands on one of these well-equipped Launch Edition examples of the Bolt EUV are now out of luck, however, as all the reservations slots have now been spoken for.

The 2022 Chevy Bolt EUV Launch Edition is priced from $43,495 including destination and comes with unique wheels, special First Edition badging, an illuminated charge port, a panoramic sunroof and, most importantly, GM’s hands-free Super Cruise driver assistance system. The Bolt EUV Launch Edition will be the first examples of the battery-electric crossover to roll off the assembly line once production begins this summer, so reserving one was the easiest way for Chevy fans to ensure they are among the first customers to get their hands on the vehicle after it launches.

Chevy was accepting reservations for the Bolt EUV Launch Edition through its website, however the landing page now indicates that all reservation slots have been spoken for. Customers will of course still be able to place an order for the standard Chevy Bolt EUV, but this means that Launch Edition models are now sold out.

As a reminder, the 2022 Chevy Bolt EUV rides on the GM BEV2 platform and utilizes a single electric motor, which produces 200 horsepower and 266 pound-feet of torque. The motor is fed by a 65-kWh lithium-ion battery, which provides an estimated 250 miles of driving range per charge. The battery-electric crossover will enter production this summer at the GM Lake Orion Assembly plant, where it will be built alongside the closely related 2022 Chevy Bolt EV hatchback.

  1. All the launch editions were purchased by blind people.

  2. Disappointing and astounding the federal tax credit is no longer available to American car makers GM and Tesla but freely available to foreign owned car makers

  3. The new Bolt EUV should sell pretty well for GM. Could be more of a sales hit in my mind had they upped the DC Charging Speed. It just isn’t fast enough for modern EV’s. It is downright insanely slow.
GM is pretty much going to sell these to people that only charge at home, and customers looking for an alternative small second vehicle for the household.
I am still waiting for the Chevy version of the Nissan Ayria, VW ID.4, and Ford Mustang Mach-E….Best case scenario Chevy is going to the fourth in the Segment as the ID.4 and Mach-E are already on sale and the Nissan is on the way by summer I believe. Hopefully being fourth or so to come out with an EV in that segment, it can be the best one. Everyone that has driven the Mach-E loves it so Chevy has a huge uphill battle on their hands.

    1. I agree with everything you said about typical buyers of the Bolt EUV. My wife drives a GMC Acadia and I have a 6 year old Buick Lacrosse. I am replacing my Buick with a launch edition Bolt EUV so we have EV as an optional second vehicle.
I disagree about GM being 4th in EV segment. No one outside of Tesla is investing as much or betting their future on EV as GM. The Mach-E is a great flagship model, but where is the announcement from Ford on how many EVs they will have in the next X years? Or when they will convert fully to EV? The only reason I am not more bullish on Tesla is I see established carmakers like GM, VW & Nissan blowing them away with sales numbers in 5 years. I think Tesla will survive but will be a niche brand like Porsche in the U.S. market. Ford & Chrysler will be playing catch up and licensing technology from competitors.
