2022 Buick Envision: Here’s What’s New And Different

The 2022 Buick Envision represents the second model year of the second-generation model, for which the crossover receives several minor changes and updates.
Here’s exactly what’s new and different for the 2022 Buick Envision.
Exterior
On the outside, the 2022 model sees the addition of one exterior color: Sapphire Metallic, as well as the deletion of a single exterior hue: Dark Moon Blue Metallic. The 2022 Envision Preferred model also sees a change in standard wheel availability, with the deletion of the Bright Silver 18-inch aluminum wheels (RER), and the addition of new 18-inch aluminum wheels (PZK).
Interior
On the inside, the air ionizer feature has been deleted. Otherwise, the 2022 Buick Envision sees the addition of new content for the Envision ST as the addition of the following dealer-installed (LPO-level) items:
- All-weather floor liners
- All-weather floor mats
- Cargo liner
Packages
The Buick Interior Protection Package has been added to the 2022 Buick Envision, and includes all-weather floor mats and all-weather floor liners.
Additionally, the existing Sport Touring Package receives new content in addition to the items included for the 2021 model year:
New-for-2022 Sport Touring (ST) package content:
- Sport pedals
- Red-stitched leather seating
- ST logo on the headrest
- ST logo on floor mats
Existing Sport Touring (ST) package content:
- 20-inch wheels with Dark finish
- Unique ST exterior badging
- Grille surround and mesh inserts
- Black roof rails
- Body-color door handles
- Lower trim/wheel arch moldings
- Exhaust bezels
- Dark Gloss finish window trim and mirror caps
- Rear cargo compartment cover
Mechanical
The 2022 Buick Envision continues to be powered by the same engine as the 2021 model: the turbocharged 2.0L LSY I4, which produces 228 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. The single powerplant is mated to GM’s nine-speed automatic transmission driving either the front (standard) or all wheels (optional).
2022 Buick Envision Availability
The 2022 Buick Envision is assembled by GM China (SAIC) at the Jinqiao plant in Shanghai, China. The 2022 model is expected to enter production in mid-2021.
With the 2021 model year marking the debut of the second-generation Buick Envision, we expect the second-generation Buick Envision to remain in production through at least the 2026 model year.
