2021 Corvette 5DF Wheels Available To Order Again

As GM Authority covered previously, the optional 5DF wheel option offered for the 2021 Corvette was made unavailable to order in January due to a quality issue. Now, however, that has changed, with the 5-Trident-Spoke Black-Painted Aluminum wheels option becoming available again as of the beginning of March.

As it turns out, the 2021 Corvette offers a variety of 5-Trident-Spoke wheel options, with customers given multiple finishes to choose from. In addition to the 5DF Black-Painted wheels newly available to order again, the 5-Trident design can also be had in Sterling Silver (RPO code QES) and Spectra Gray (RPO code QET). Sizing for the rollers is measured at 19 inches in diameter and 8.5 inches in width for front-mounted units, and 20 inches in diameter and 11 inches in width for rear-mounted units.

Pricing for the 5-Trident-Spoke Aluminum wheels in Sterling Silver and Spectra gray is set at $1,495, while grabbing the wheels in black will add $2,895 to the bottom line for the 2021 Corvette. The wheels are offered as an accessory-level option, which means they are shipped to and installed by the dealer, rather than installed at the factory.

As GM Authority covered previously, production of the 2021 Corvette is expected to come to an end this summer, specifically the week of July 19th. The upcoming 2022 Chevrolet Corvette will be the third model year for the latest eighth-generation vehicle, and will introduce a few new colors for the exterior paint and interior upholstery, as well as two exciting new high-performance models, namely the Z06 and the E-Ray.

  1. You can buy nicer wheels aftermarket that don’t crack. I’m not a fan of any of the Corvette wheel designs.

  4. The gray trident wheel set is $1495 and the black trident wheel set is $2895? I guess black paint is much more expensive.
