2021 Chevy Silverado 1500 Adds LT Trail Boss Premium Package

The 2021 Chevy Silverado 1500 is the third model year of the latest fourth-generation vehicle, which debuted for the 2019 model year. Now, buyers looking to spec their 2021 Silverado LT Trail Boss with a few extra top-shelf features can do so with the LT Trail Boss Premium Package.

The 2021 Chevy Silverado 1500 LT Trail Boss Package is only offered on the LT Trail Boss trim level, and is tagged with RPO code PCR. For now, pricing information on the new LT Trail Boss Package is unavailable, but will likely cost the sum of costs for all the packages/features included in the package, possibly with a discount of a few hundred dollars.

The 2021 Chevy Silverado 1500 LT Trail Boss Package includes the following content (relevant RPO codes listed in parentheses):

  • Convenience Package II (PCM)
  • Safety Package (PQB)
  • Leather Package (CXH)
  • Bed Protection Package (WPQ)
  • Power up/down tailgate (QT6)

Additionally, customers may swap the power up/down tailgate in favor of the Multi-Flex tailgate (RPO code QK2), the Chevy Silverado’s version of the MultiPro tailgate offered with the GMC Sierra, providing six configurable positions for greater flexibility and usability.

As a reminder, the 2021 Chevy Silverado 1500 LT Trail Boss features a two-inch factory suspension lift with the Z71 Off-Road Package, as well as 18-inch High Gloss Black-painted wheels wrapped in Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac rubber. The LT Trail Boss also features an Autotrac two-speed transfer case, a heated and leather-wrapped steering wheel, heated front seats, and several other goodies. Standard spec for the greasy bits includes either the naturally aspirated 5.3L V8 L84 gasoline engine making 355 horsepower, or the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 L87 gasoline engine making 420 horsepower, both of which connect to a 10-speed automatic transmission and 4WD.

  1. Could we get the Dbl Cab in LT Trail Boss trim? It’s really what I wanted when I ordered the TB Custom Dbl cab.

    1. I agree, a Dbl cab trail boss lt would be great if it had the 6.5” box so you could actually do something truck like with it,other than being a pavement princess. Chev and Gmc have abandoned the people wanting double cab trucks with options like heated seats, steering wheel, dual climate controlled to build crew cab trucks with a short box that makes it no more than a grocery getter. Ram trucks and Ford F-150 are looking better all the time.

  2. I’d rather have power folding mirrors (my 2020 has tow mirrors) and cooled seats. Neither of those options are available on an LT. 🙁

    1. Cooled seats are not all that they will still burn your skin when first hopping in and you will still stick to them until the cabin gets ice cold.

    2. They have not had power folding mirrors on a LT for a very long time.
