The 2021 Cadillac XT5 is now available with the optional Onyx Package, as reported by our colleagues at sister publication Cadillac Society. As of this writing, the package does not appear on the Cadillac XT5 online configurator, but we do know that it is available as an LPO (dealer-installed) option and is assigned the RPO code PDT. It is available for all three 2021 XT5 trim levels – Luxury, Premium Luxury and Sport.
However, the equipment included in in the package is not the same for every trim level. For Luxury and Premium Luxury trims, the Onyx package features the following:
- 20-inch Gloss Black wheels (S2K)
- Gloss Black body side moldings (RWK)
- Gloss Black rear bumper molding (5HR)
- Gloss Black rear license plate applique (RXX)
- Gloss Black grille trim (E5K)
- Gloss Black front fascia applique (QJ5)
- Gloss Black rear fascia applique (VNI)
- Gloss Black grille (SJ9)
- Monochrome Cadillac emblems (SFZ)
For the 2021 Cadillac XT5 Sport, the Onyx Package does not include the rear bumper molding or the front fascia applique, but it does include a Gloss Black exhaust bezel which is not offered on the Luxury and Premium Luxury. For clarity, the full list of items is shown below:
- 20-inch Gloss Black wheels (S2K)
- Gloss Black body side moldings (RWK)
- Gloss Black rear license plate applique (RXX)
- Gloss Black grille trim (E5K)
- Gloss Black rear fascia applique (VNI)
- Gloss Black grille (SJ9)
- Monochrome Cadillac emblems (SFZ)
- Gloss Black exhaust bezel (VMP)
Pricing has yet to be confirmed for the package for any trim level.
The Cadillac XT5 is one of several of the GM luxury brand’s vehicles offered with the Onyx Package. We reported in January that it was available for the 2021 Cadillac XT4, and then in February that this also applied to the 2021 Cadillac XT6.
The Onyx Package is also optional on the 2021 Cadillac Escalade and long-wheelbase Escalade ESV full-size luxury SUVs, but it is not currently available because it includes 22-inch 12-spoke Gloss Black finish alloy wheels (RPO code SSX). As previously exclusively reported by GM Authority, GM is currently unable to offer these or any other optional 22-inch wheels for the Escalade due to supply constraints, temporarily placing the Onyx Package for the Escalade on hold.

Yawn!!!!!!!
How about adding the 3.0 TT? Sorry I forgot this is a Chevy under the Cadillac icing, so it must use the same engine as the Chevy to cut costs….
Paying extra money to ruin the look of a vehicle. So 2020’s.
SO GM.
