Miami, Florida-based Vossen Wheels has posted images to its Instagram account of a particularly interesting 2021 Cadillac Escalade. As shown on our sister publication, Cadillac Society, this example of the full-size luxury SUV in Sport trim is fitted with a set of Vossen HF6-4 wheels.
The wheels are 24 inches in diameter and 10 inches wide, and replace the 22-inch 12-spoke polished alloys in Dark Android that come as standard on the Cadillac Escalade Sport. They are painted in Gloss Black, one of five standard and seven custom colors offered by Vossen. The company’s website mentions nine custom colors, but only seven – Gloss Gold, Textured Bronze, Matte Black, Gloss Silver, Anthracite, Satin Silver and Satin Bronze – are listed as of this writing.
Each pair of spokes is arranged in a Y formation which (perhaps unconsciously) echoes the Y trim level strategy used by Cadillac. In the case of the Cadillac Escalade, the entry trim is called Luxury. Above this, the trim levels split into Luxury and Sport arms, with Premium Luxury and Premium Luxury Platinum on one arm, and Sport and Sport Platinum on the other.
HF6 stands for Hybrid Forged, 6-lug. There are four wheel designs in the series, which is intended specifically for pickups trucks and SUVs. The base price for the HF6-4 is quoted as $599 per wheel, but the 24-inch rims pictured here are likely to cost considerably more than that.
However, the price of the wheels is unlikely to trouble anyone who has recently bought a Cadillac Escalade Sport. MSRP for the rear-wheel-drive version is $86,890 (including a $1,295 destination charge), whether the customer chooses the standard naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 L87 gasoline EcoTec3 engine, which produces 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque, or the no-cost optional 3.0L I6 LM2 turbodiesel from the Duramax family, which makes 277 horsepower and the same 460 pound-feet of torque. Both are mated with GM’s 10-speed automatic transmission.
The all-wheel-drive Cadillac Escalade Sport is priced to start at $89,890. Long-wheelbase Escalade ESV models cost $3,000 than their regular Escalade equivalents.
