GM has pulled the sheets on the 2022 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing, debuting a supercharged monster with enough muscle to push the luxury four-door to 200 mph.
The new Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing makes its case with updated exterior styling that includes wind-tunnel-tested aero upgrades. The front end, splitter, rear spoiler, rear valence, and “underwing” help to keep the CT5-V Blackwing glued to the pavement, while also making it stand out from the rest of the CT5 lineup. Wheel sizing is set at 19 inches at all four corners, with a 10-inch width in front, and 11-inch width in the rear.
Under those rollers, you’ll find a track-capable Brembo brake package with 15.7-inch rotors in front and 14.7-inch rotors in the rear, clamped by six-pot calipers and four-pot calipers, respectively. The Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing also offers a lightweight carbon-ceramic brake package.
Keeping it all shiny side up is Magnetic Ride Control 4.0, with stiffer spring rates, higher-rate bushings, and hollow stabilizer bars.
Making the go is the supercharged 6.2L V8 LT4 gas engine, the same lump-o-go previously equipped by the third-generation Cadillac CTS-V. This time around, the LT4 produces 668 horsepower and 659 pound-feet of torque, which catapults the four-door to 60 mph in 3.7 seconds.
Routing the output rearwards is a standard six-speed manual transmission, while a 10-speed automatic is also on the table.
No doubt about it, the CT5-V Blackwing is impressive when it comes to performance, but it’s also comfortable, with three levels of interior appointment to choose from. A 15-speaker AKG stereo is standard, while a high-performance semi-aniline leather front seat setup with lightweight carbon fiber backs, heating, and ventilation is offered. Instrumentation includes a standard 12-inch HD configurable instrument cluster.
We’ll have plenty more to say about the 2022 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing in the near future, so stay tuned. In the meantime, subscribe to GM Authority for more Cadillac CT5 news, Cadillac news, and around-the-clock GM news coverage.

That rounded bloated piece of plastic needs to go on a diet for 2023. Hopefully the guts are more “reliable” than the prevailing bad reputation.
Specifics? What are you talking about?
What’s the MPG? Asking for a friend.
