Recently, GM Authority provided coverage of a C8 Corvette Coupe testing out a SeaSucker bike rack. Now, that very same rack is available as an associated accessory from Chevrolet.
The bike rack in question is the Mini-Bomber Two-Bike Carrier from SeaSucker. The rack attaches to the roof of the C8 Corvette Coupe by way of four large vacuum cups, which makes installation a breeze. With the front forks secured up front, two additional vacuum cups in back secure the rear tires.
The Mini-Bomber Two-Bike Carrier by SeaSucker can hold bikes up to 45 pounds each, and costs $499 on the Chevrolet Accessories website. The rack is slightly cheaper on the SeaSucker website, priced at $489. The accessory is available for the C8 Corvette Coupe, but not the Convertible.
As GM Authority recently covered, Cadillac is also offering products from SeaSucker, including the single-bike SeaSucker Talon, and the SeaSucker Mini-Bomber Two-Bike Carrier covered here.
For those C8 Corvette customers looking to squeeze a little more utility out of their sports car, the SeaSucker Mini-Bomber Two-Bike Carrier could be worth it. Because it uses vacuum cups to stick to the roof, installation and removal of the Mini-Bomber Two-Bike Carrier is a quick and easy affair, which means customers that want to get to the trailhead one day, but run around town with a clean look the next shouldn’t have any issues doing exactly that.
As a reminder, the C8 Corvette is equipped with the mid-mounted, naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 LT2 gasoline engine, which produces 490 horsepower and 465 pound-feet of torque, or 495 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque when equipped with the factory performance exhaust system. Output is routed through an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Production takes place at the GM Bowling Green facility in Kentucky.

Nice, now I just need a C8 to go with my Trek
That suggests that a load of 50 pounds or so could go there. What next… a small cargo box?
Indeed. How about the C8 camper edition?
Check out the seasucker site. Their Monkey bars might fill the bill
Well they got the “sucker” part of the name right.
I own one and know many people who are Vette enthusiasts, they will not stack bikes on their pride and joy unless they go over to the man bun lifestyle.
That’s a f___ing disgrace. You just don’t haul junk around on your Vette.
that rack is commonly used by Ferrari owners…. so nothing new
