Aerolarri Introduces Center-Exit Exhaust System For C8 Corvette: Video

Chicago-based aftermarket supplier Aerolarri has developed a new center-exit exhaust kit for the C8 Corvette Stingray that promises to enhance the look, sound and performance of the mid-engine sports car.

Aerolarri says its new cat-back exhaust kit for the C8 Corvette consists of larger three-inch mandrel bent stainless steel pipes, which dump into four-inch custom tips. This exhaust does not come with active valves, unlike the stock Corvette exhaust, but it does include valve simulators to prevent the vehicle’s Check Engine Light (CEL) from coming on.

Because this is a center-exit exhaust, it requires some minor modifications to install. Aerolarri says a 1.5-inch area in the middle of the lower rear diffuser must be cut out in order to make way for the relocated exhaust tips. The kit also includes a rear screen section with Aerolarri branding to complete the modified look of the rear end.

Prices start at $2,988 for the entire Aerolarri kit, including the full stainless steel exhaust, rear screen and quad tips. Optional extras include carbon fiber and stainless steel exhaust tips ($499) full carbon fiber tips ($999) and race mufflers. The race mufflers reduce the exhaust volume by 20 percent (this exhaust has no volume-adjusting valves, remember) though the company warns the end result is still “very loud.”

Aeroloarri does not say what kind of weight savings or power benefits customers can expect over a factory Performance Exhaust for the C8 Corvette Stingray, though the company does say it provides “more power,” and claims it is “probably the most free-flowing exhaust on the market.” We can’t verify those claims, but we imagine that most people who want this exhaust on their C8 Corvette are mainly looking for meaner looks and a louder exhaust note, anyway.

Hear the Aerolarri center-exit exhaust in action in the video embedded below.

  1. $3k or almost $4K if you get the carbon fiber tips… plus you have to jack up a $80K car… to say nothing of the WTF look of the hole left from the factory exhaust, with no valve control ….

Perfect example of just because you can do something doesn’t mean you should.

    Nope, nope…NOPE

  2. I want to know what type of wheels they put on the car, the wheel options that GM has suck, My only complaint about my car is the wheels, and the Black Trident were paused due to spec issues so I had to go with another wheel instead.
    Shopping for other options.

        1. The exhaust on the C7 looked like it belonged there contrary to this one which looks like a hacked-up job with cutting the valence and that really ugly screen.
