2021 Cadillac XT6 Now Available With New Onyx Package

Cadillac has made its Onyx Package available for the 2021 Cadillac XT6 three-row luxury crossover. The package has the RPO code PDT, and is available on all three trim levels – Luxury, Premium Luxury and Sport.

As explained in our sister publication, Cadillac Society, the point of the Onyx Package is to add Gloss Black styling features which will be especially effective if the paintwork of the vehicle is in a contrasting light color. The items included, all of which are LPO (dealer-installed) accessories, are as follows:

  • 20-inch Gloss Black wheels (S2K)
  • Gloss Black bodyside moldings (RWK)
  • Gloss Black rear license plate applique (RXX)
  • Gloss Black grille (SJA)
  • Gloss Black grille trim (E5K) (Luxury and Premium Luxury only)
  • Gloss Black front fascia applique (QJ5)
  • Gloss Black rear fascia applique (VNI) (Luxury and Premium Luxury only)
  • Gloss Black exhaust bezel (VMP)

Unusually for a Cadillac Onyx Package, the one for the Cadillac XT6 does not include monochromatic badges, as it does in the case of the 2021 Cadillac XT4 and 2021 Cadillac Escalade.

The package is priced at $4,595 for the Luxury and Premium Luxury trim levels and $3,995 for the Sport. Some of the items can be ordered individually; the grille and exhaust bezel are available for $585 and $490 respectively, while the 20-inch wheels cost $2,495 on the Luxury and Premium Luxury and $2,095 on the Sport. The discrepancy can be explained by the fact that the Sport runs on more expensive wheels (20-inch Diamond Cut alloy wheels with Dark Android Satin finish pockets) as standard.

The most affordable Cadillac XT6 is the Luxury, which is priced to start at $48,990 (including $995 destination charge) and is the only version fitted with the turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY engine, rated in this application at 235 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. The $53,790 Premium Luxury and the $58,190 Sport both use the naturally aspirated 3.6L V6 LGX motor, which makes 310 horsepower and 271 pound-feet of torque. Both engines are paired with GM’s nine-speed automatic transmission.

The Luxury and Premium Luxury are both available with front-wheel-drive. All-wheel-drive is optional for those versions, and standard on the Sport.
