2021 Buick Envision Discount Takes $2,250 Off In February

If one were to observe this month’s promotional Buick Envision discount offers via the automaker’s website, it would appear that all purchase and finance offers are specific to first-generation, 2020 Buick Envision models. However, the online configurator shows a $2,250 cash allowance is available for the all-new, second-generation 2021 Buick Envision.

Competitive lease offers are also available in select markets, though it appears such incentives are only offered to current competitive owners who own a 2007 model year or newer non-GM vehicle.

The Tri-Shield brand is also offering an additional $1,000 in Bonus Earnings for current eligible GM Cardmembers when purchasing an eligible model. According to the fine print, the only vehicle explicitly excluded from the $1,000 bonus is the 2021 Chevrolet Corvette.

The 2021 Buick Envision discount offer during February 2021 is a cash allowance of $2,250, which is available for all trim levels of the second-generation crossover in either front-wheel or all-wheel-drive configurations. The deal will remain valid through March 1st, 2021.

  1. someone help me here. I don’t understand discounts/incentives? Why don’t the manufacturers just lower the price?

    1. Customers have learned that with certain manufacturers, the customer is entitled to a discount. So the manufactures have figured out that they build a little extra cushion on the pricing and then the customers sees they can get a discount and ultimately they’re getting a better deal. GM has tried to minimize this but overall, likely they may not completely eliminate incentives.

      1. GM has taken this pricing model overboard. On many of their products (especially higher trims), they are $6,000-10,000 over direct competitors. Look at a Terrain Denali or Traverse High Country and compare against top-spec Honda, Toyota, Kia or Hyundai models. The reason they are constantly offering “15%-25% of MSRP!” fire sales is because they have inflated the MSRPs so high. It ends up sending the message of sticker shock to the consumer in the first place. Then it looks bad to have to offer huge rebates to move the metal in the second place. What’s worse is that few of GM’s models are anything close to class leading to even come close to justifying the prices.

        1. While GM certainly inflates their MSRP, it’s also important to consider other factors of their prices versus competitors. GM is not the only one to have top trims with steep prices. For example, the Ford Explorer Platinum can cross $60,000 with all things considered.

As for Honda/ Toyota, they offer far fewer configurations for each vehicle. Less ways to build means less cost. Hyundai/ Kia are their own robotics and manufacturing company. Hyundai has streamlined much of their processes in house, which minimizes their costs. Each brand does things differently. However, the price discrepancies aren’t solely due to MSRP inflation.

  2. So, I just stopped in at our local dealer and he related the discount was only available to the available Buick Evision on the lot. I want to order a new one to my color/specs now. He related this discount is not available. Sounds like bait and switch or something.. Please respond , also to Gustman Buick in Kaukauna, WI. Thank you. Joseph Smith

    1. Most of the time this is always true. With this deal you have to take delivery by March 1st. You are not going to be able to order one and expect to have it by then. Normal ordering in the states take 4-6 weeks if not longer right now. No way your going to get one that quick from China.

  5. Nice interior and exterior design but unfortunately after driving the XT4 with that 2.0L, I’ll pass and look elsewhere.

    1. Why, didn’t like the XT4?

      1. I liked the exterior just was let down by the interior design or lack of it, cheap plastics and the entire powertrain was a definite no. Same for the XT6 loved the exterior design but nothing else after that.
