Yenko Chevy C/K Concept Looks Ready To Rip

The Yenko name carries weight in Chevy circles, promising big power and performance from whatever it happens to be attached to – as it should, considering the history behind it. That even includes models beyond the Chevrolet Camaro, such as the Yenko Chevy C/K concept featured here.

Coming to us from Timothy Adry Emmanuel, the same skilled digital artist that gave us the Lambo V10-equipped K5 Blazer and custom Buick GS Stage 1 renderings last year, this Chevy C/K concept rocks a slew of go-faster cues to honor the Yenko name.

Up front, the iconic Chevy C/K rectangular grille gets a black-out treatment with a prominent golden Bow Tie, complemented by smoked-out headlamps and corner lights. A cowl induction hood leads the eye rearwards towards prominent, squared fender flares, the latter of which house custom two-piece wheels with a black five-spoke design and polished lip.

The bed section also gains new width thanks to new rear fender flares, while exhaust tips are found just ahead of the rear wheels. The tail lamps are smoked, while silver stripes run up from the nose to the top of the cab.

The Chevy C/K concept is slathered in bright blue paint, setting it off with an eye-catching hue that plays well with all the black details.

“I always have a spot for ’90s K1500 Chevys,” the artist writes. “The split headlamp and [grille], just very iconic and pretty muscular, I love the look of this era Silverado and Tahoe. Always see them in magazine covers of show trucks and still lookin’ cool to this day.”

Of course, it’s also worth mentioning that Specialty Vehicle Engineering (SVE) currently offers the Yenko treatment for several modern Chevy vehicles, including the 2021 Chevy Silverado. However, for those fans that love the old Chevy C/K body style, this rendering may be the model of choice.

  1. It’s amazing every year of GM short bed regular cab trucks are extremely popular and GM sold more of these trucks than corvettes every year but they will not sell them in North America any more. Why?

    1. They don’t have the capacity. I’ll bet they’re biting their lower lips now from closing plants during the bankruptcy.

  2. Generally a decent looking hot rod truck. But lose the silly tall hood-and what’s with the wheels? Have people run out of ideas for a good looking wheel? I also noticed that the center of the differential is well below the center of the rear wheels. Just how is that supposed to work? Back to the drawing board……..

  3. bow tie, my very same question. You beat me to it. Hopefully someday they come back to US. Also agree about wheels. Get black stock steel wheels with chrome trim ring and center cap. Same look and a whole lot less money.
