The third-generation Chevrolet Corvette ushered in a stunning new look for the iconic sports car, with the long hood line gaining pronounced, sharpened fender flares, and the profile enhanced with streamlined, cab-back proportions. Now, one digital automotive artist has transformed the C3 Corvette into a life-size Hot Wheels car with this imaginative new widebody treatment.
Coming to us from Timothy Adry Emmanuel, who posted the new C3 Corvette rendering to the @adry53customs Instagram feed, this thing is impressive, showing off life-like details from a variety of different angles. Covered in what appears to be a stunning shade of Ontario Orange, this Chevy Corvette rendering is easily recognizable as a third-gen model. However, the factory lines and design cues are enhanced with a plethora of aggressive custom touches.
The nose rocks a chromed-out grille with a grid-like pattern for the inner insert, as well as fog lamps in the corners. Just below the intake is a pronounced air dam, which leads the eye rearwards into even-larger fender flares.
Set against the ridge-like factory fenders, the new widebody treatment adds inches of extra girth to the C3 Corvette, housing classic five-spoke muscle machine wheels with a black finish and polished lip. Behind the wheels is a set of fender vents, while polished side pipes are placed millimeters off the pavement. In fact, the whole thing is slammed to the ground, enhancing the wide ’n low aesthetic to extremes.
Speaking of extremes, the massive blower popping out of the hood adds to the rendering’s fun, playful vibe, all while cementing the C3 Corvette’s high-performance attitude.
“Trying the Garlits Streetcatcher scoop with Barndoor Butterflies,” the artist writes, referencing the supercharger. “Love the look on the butterflies tho [sic], and with the twisty side exhaust.”
“Nothing looks cooler than a bugcatcher sticking out of the hood in my eyes,” he adds.

Oh my giddy aunt, enough with the wide body already. Seriously, enough!
In most cases, it looks stupid, and it has become the most anti-creative thing to do to a car at this point.
SACRILEGE!
I think I hear my Corvettes puking out in the garage. I’m going to close this before I puke and go make sure my cars are okay.
Many builders of custom cars don’t realize that sometimes their modifications get to the point of
where less looks much better than more, and overdone. Modifications that just look glued on and soo extreme, in my opinion,, don’t look good.
Wish I could send a picture of my modified C3 so the difference between overdone, and subtle and very unique could be compared.
This car is not overdone its a show car i bet so of course it looks like that and to some people it actually looks damn good. I know it is you opion of the car so don’t get mad but its not over done.
I love it
