The GMC Acadia received a mid-cycle refresh for the 2020 model year that brought updated exterior styling, the addition of the turbo 2.0L I4 LSY gasoline engine, fresh tech, and a new, off-road-ready AT4 trim level. The 2021 model year followed with a few minor changes and updates, continuing the nameplate’s classification as a five-door midsize crossover utility vehicle. Unsurprisingly, customers enjoy using the Acadia in a variety of active outdoor lifestyle activities, and that means the potential for tracking in dirt and mud that would typically sully the interior.
With that in mind, it makes sense to equip the midsize GMC crossover with rubber floor mats. So much so, that 40 percent of all GMC Acadia dealer orders include floor protection, GM Authority has learned, demonstrating the popularity of the floor protection accessories.
The floor protection in question includes a number of all-weather OEM floor mats, as listed here (relevant RPO codes listed in parentheses):
- All-weather floor mats, first and second row (VAV)
- All-weather floor liner, first and second row (RIA)
- All-weather floor liner, third row (RIB)
These items are LPO-level accessories, which are optional extras installed by the dealer.
These rubberized items are designed to fit perfectly in the GMC Acadia foot wells, with deep grooves to trap mud, dirt, snow, and debris. Properly installed, the Acadia’s all-weather floor mats will protect the vehicle’s carpeting, making for easy clean up as well. Some of the mats even include the GMC logo in red to add a dash of custom flair to the mix.
The floor protection items listed here are offered during the vehicle ordering process on GMC Acadia SLE, SLT, AT4, and Denali trims, but not the base-level SL trim level.
As a reminder, the latest GMC Acadia is offered with three engine options, including the naturally aspirated 2.5L I4 LCV, which produces 193 horsepower and 188 pound-feet of torque, the turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY, which produces 230 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, and naturally aspirated 3.6L V6 LGX, which produces 308 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque. Both FWD and AWD are available.
