what a success!!! let’s see if they build on this winning formula on february 14th.
Even with the massive discounts 24-25k is still too much $ for a Bolt. At 20k it’s a competitive choice… At 25k Chevy is competing with too many ICE trims from the Japanese, Koreans, and Germans in the Subcompact plus segment. Maybe GM should start seriously considering that next C segment ICE vehicle?… Or maybe put some heat on Mary Barra for try to force a product that just isn’t gaining traction.
We should just drill more and stop this EV hoax!!!!!
This is the price. Get serious. You want electric now’s the time. You snooze you lose.
Mary Barra has been abundantly clear that the higher profit BEVs are her vision of the lowercase gm future. Sales pretty clearly indicate that the Bolt doesn’t sell well when priced closer to 30k… I surmise that there is no rush to buy a Bolt and that their prices will only continue to drop in the new and CPO market. In this regard a I think it would be wise for potential buyers to wait it out. The rate of depreciation for the Bolt should be alarming to potential buyers, honestly.
The car isn’t worth $5000 when you consider the battery has to be replaced every 100,000 miles.
I disagree with that statement, it is a decent little US made car, definitely worth around 20k if it fits your lifestyle. Personally, it doesn’t fit my lifestyle, so I’ll probably be looking for an ICE vehicle unless GM (gm) can make BEVs a deal too good to pass up… Right now they aren’t that great a deal.
This car must be quite a dud, if it has to be discounted so much. The low resale price proves my point.
And it’s WORSE for the environment than gas!!!
This doesn’t bode well for the company if they’re betting the future on EVs.
Mary wants everybody to drive a golf cart!!
Can GM just go ahead and get in front of this already. Older Batter and Motor Tech will not cut it (if Current Price structure remains) with the upcoming Competition. Drop the Starting MSRP at 25K y
They should cancel it and go back to traditional gas everybody likes.
Not going to happen. sorry I guess.
