The four GM vehicles in the space – the Chevrolet Trax and Buick Encore, as well as their all-new cousins – the Chevrolet Trailblazer and Buick Encore GX – accounted for a cumulative 66,677 deliveries. By comparison, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles’ three rivals – the Jeep Compass, Jeep Renegade and Fiat 500X – accounted for 47,500 deliveries. Meanwhile, Hyundai (Kona and Venue) and Kia (Seltos, Niro, Soul) saw 68,105 deliveries. The figures give GM 26 percent of the segment, and Chevrolet 17 percent of the segment.
However, a strong argument can be made that the Kia Soul is not part of the segment in question, but is rather in a segment below based on its size and price point. Removing the Soul from the Hyundai-Kia results nets 51,574 deliveries.
The mainstream subcompact crossover segment expanded 8.5 percent to 259,331 units during Q4 2020.

The GM Authority Take
After placing toward the bottom of the pack in Q3, Chevy Trailblazer sales took a leap in Q4, becoming the fifth-best-selling model in the segment despite also being the newest.
The jump in Q4 is attributed to better availability of the vehicle at the dealer level, though inventory has yet to reach optimal levels.
Going forward, we expect Trailblazer sales and share to continue growing, especially in the near-term future as inventory begins to build during 2021 and beyond. Assuming that supply can keep up with demand, we expect the Trailblazer to continue moving up the ranks to continue in the best-selling spots in the segment.

Comments
This is the design that should have been used for their EV instead of the Bolt.
Impressive considering the vicious market it’s in. Everyone now has several offerings in this segment where a couple years go it was a lot less to choose from. What’s also very impressive is the Encore GX showing. With just a little more advertising and a push on them, the Encore GX could be difficult to contend with in the more premium side of this segment.
But di Kia is better…….😁
Needs a manual.
All cookie cutters…😕
