The 2021 Chevy Trailblazer is hugely popular, with demand for the small crossover outpacing supply fourfold. However, as GM Authority was the first to point out, roof rail cross bars for the new Trailblazer were previously unavailable, leading to frustration among buyers hoping to take full advantage of the model’s potential practicality. Thankfully, that has now changed.
Buyers can now order the Roof Rack Cross Rail Package for the 2021 Chevy Trailblazer from the official Chevrolet Accessories website (accessories.chevrolet.com). Pricing for the package is set at $255. An attachment kit is included with the package.
Engineered specifically for the 2021 Chevy Trailblazer, the roof rack cross bars are easily installed using simple tools, which are included with the package. What’s more, the bars can be easily removed and stored when not in use.
When installed, the cross cars offer additional cargo capacity, freeing up space inside the vehicle. In addition to providing a base for various cargo management accessories, the bars can also serve as a base for carrying a bike, watersport equipment, or winter sport equipment.
The 2021 Chevy Trailblazer Roof Rail Cross Rail Package includes a warranty that’s the greater of either the balance of the vehicle’s bumper to bumper warranty, or 12 months / 12,000 miles.
Previously, the lack of roof rack cross bars for the 2021 Chevy Trailblazer was a point of contention for owners, as GM Authority covered previously. Now, however, this new package fixes that issue.
As a reminder, the 2021 Chevy Trailblazer offers 25.3 cubic-feet of cargo space with the rear seats up. Fold the rear seats down, and cargo space expands to 54.4 cubic-feet. Two engine options are available, including the turbocharged 1.2L I3 LIH producing 137 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque, and the turbocharged 1.3L I3 L3T producing 155 horsepower and 174 pound-feet of torque. Front-wheel-drive is standard, while all-wheel-drive is available.

What’s the point of having roof rails with that big ugly antenna in the way??? Even if you tried to put a kayak or canoe on top of the roof rails, you can’t because of that stupid ugly antenna.
I have a very similar antenna on my Sonic, if not he exact same one. I have never had any problems putting anything on my roof racks. Generally, I just put the item to one side of the antenna, but it’s also flexible. Roof racks are a very important item for me in any hatch back.
I am still curious about the details of the tow hitch package on the trailblazer. I know its not tow rated, but trail hitch style bike racks are the most convenient way to transport bikes. Does the bumper still need to be cut to install? is the kit available from Chevy dealers or the factory?
I find it hard to believe it is selling like hotcakes, seen one and it’s uglier in person. No style, it was so blah and little
I am very critical of many aspects of the trailblazer, but the exterior style is great. I think it’s one of the best, if not the best looking vehicle in the class. Now in terms of overall value I think the Mazda CX-30, Hyundai Kona, and Kia Seltos still offer better features and drivetrains.
