The Chevy Silverado 1500 is the third model year for the fourth-generation full-size pickup, arriving with several updates and changes over the previous 2020 model year vehicle. Now customers can order the 2021 Chevy Silverado 1500 in Mosaic Black Metallic paint.
Mosaic Black Metallic paint is tagged with RPO code GB8, and was initially introduced with the third-generation Chevy Silverado HD for the 2019 model year. The hue was deleted with the introduction of the fourth-generation 2020 Chevy Silverado HD, but was reintroduced for the heavy-duty Silvy with the arrival of the Chevy Silverado HD Carhartt Edition, a unique styling upgrade that includes Mosaic Black Metallic paint offset by gold pinstripes, as well as black badging and trim, painted sideview mirror caps, and more.
Now, Mosaic Black Metallic paint is available on the Chevy Silverado 1500. The hue is offered on LT, RST, LTZ, and High Country trim levels, and can be added at no extra charge. Note that the color is currently not listed on the 2021 Chevy Silverado 1500 configurator.

The 2021 Chevy Silverado 1500 introduces several noteworthy changes over the 2020 model year vehicle, starting with a $1,500 price reduction for models equipped with the 3.0L I6 LM2 turbodiesel Duramax powerplant, carrying over a price drop first introduced at the end of the 2020 model year.
The latest 2021 Chevy Silverado 1500 also deletes Havana Brown Metallic and Cajun Red Tintcoat from the exterior paint options list, while Oxford Brown Metallic and Cherry Red Tintcoat join Mosaic Black Metallic for three new exterior colors with the latest model year pickup.
Further updates include the addition the Multi-Flex tailgate, which takes after the GMC Sierra MultiPro tailgate in terms of functionality. The new Silverado also features wireless phone projection for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as the deletion of the USB port on the instrument panel, and availability of SiriusXM on Work Truck models. SiriusXM is now standard on Custom, Custom Trail Boss, LT, RST, and LT Trail Boss models.
