The Buick Envision is all-new for the 2021 model year, ushering in a fresh second generation for the compact crossover utility vehicle (CUV). Now, we are taking a look at pricing details for the new 2021 Envision.
The all-new 2021 Buick Envision lineup kicks off with the Preferred trim level, which starts at $31,800. The mid-range trim is the Essence, which starts at $35,800, while the top trim is the Avenir, which starts at $40,200.
Note that the prices listed here do not include the $1,195 destination freight charge, which, when included, brings the Preferred trim level to $32,995, the Essence trim to $36,995, and the Avenir trim to $41,200.
Standout features for the Preferred trim level include QuietTuning technology with Active Noise Cancellation, as well as wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. Meanwhile, the Essence trim comes with 18-inch machined aluminum wheels with a Charcoal Metallic finish, heated front seats, a 10-inch Buick Infotainment system, and a hands-free programmable power liftgate with LED logo projection. The range-topping Avenir features 20-inch aluminum wheels with a Pearl Nickel finish, ventilated front seats and a massage function for the driver’s seat, Front Park Assist, wireless phone charging, and a Bose stereo system.
Outside, the new Envision is lower and wider than the previous model, and rocks a styling treatment that takes cues from the 2018 Buick Enspire concept.
All 2021 Buick Envision trims come standard with front-wheel-drive, while a new twin-clutch all-wheel-drive system will be optional across the range. Pricing info on the new twin-clutch all-wheel-drive system is currently unavailable.
Under the hood, the 2021 Buick Envision features the turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY gas engine, which produces 237 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, and connects to a nine-speed automatic transmission. The latest Envision rides on the GM E2 platform, also shared with the first-generation Cadillac XT4. Assembly will take place at the Jinqiao plant in Shanghai, China both for export to North America and for the Chinese domestic market.

This is a one exceptionally sleek looking vehicle.
Can not wait to get one in the Avenir trim.

Sucks that the interior is unsurprisingly plastic though.
This is just slightly bigger than the Volvo XC40 and a little smaller than the XC60. However with prices like this, the Envision will be thousands less than the Volvo XC40. Our dealership is one of the highest volume Volvo stores in the USA, and you can’t hardly find a base XC40 with a price under $40,000. Move up to the XC60 and getting into the most lowly trim/model will still put you around $45,000.
So with the great looks of the Envision, competitive pricing and a good roll out, this should be a real winner.
Guess labor costs are much lower in China these days.
Will the 2021 Envision be available in Metallic White?
Metallic white, white, pearl white, dark white, light silver, metallic silver, grey, medium grey, dark grey,
charcoal grey, light black, metallic black, pearl black, medium black, dark black, really black, midnight black.
And for an extra $850 and a 3 month ordering wait time – red or blue
The metallic silver with the black interior looks really nice in the showroom (Liberty Buick).
Is there an extra charge for the light silver? Does the light silver come in metallic?
That’s GM for ya. A sea of uninspiring, flat variations of earth tones and greys that you have to pay extra for. Even their “colors” on most mainstream models are ordinary. Look at FCA’s, Ford’s or Toyota’s color palettes by comparison.
The looks of that SUV are exceptional. If the rest of it is up to par, they are going to sell a lot of these.
$32,995 puts the new Buick Envision as a direct competition for the Cadillac XT5 that has a base price of $43K and being essentially the same car.
Like I said Envison imported from Communist China, Caddy XT5 Spring Hill Tn, maybe. Most buyers don’t know. Many sadly don’t care JMO

Ya, and how exactly does one seem to compare a base $33,000 MSRP car with a base $43,000 car? That’s 10 grand Omegatalon! So you could buy a brand new Envision (base) Preferred AND a brand new 2021 Chevy Spark LS (after all discounts going on now) or the XT5. Yup, that comparable.

Personally I have not and will never own a Japanese or Chinese car. You shouldn’t worry yourself about teaching men of a certain age US history. I do find it interesting that a person of such strong conviction sells Japanese cars.
Let’s face it, there is no reason this vehicle can’t be built in Fairfax next to the XT4. As much as I enjoy the history of GM and having owned nothing but GM vehicles , forty years of piss poor management have eroded this company to a shell of its former glory.
I am sure you are also aware of something called COVID 19. At the very worst, China manufactured this virus, and at the very least it knew about it but kept it under wraps. The result? Our country on the verge of civil war, millions of jobs lost, trillions of dollars lost and added to our national debt. I know there are many products out there that we have no choice of buying from China, but a $40,000 car is not one of them.

Like any product, if the American sheeple believes “features and gm brand advertising” and it sells well, more Chinese products will be available in USA. Including the EV Chinese models via gm…$$$$$ Most folk don’t care where the dollar goes even when foreign companies buy American companies that eventually decide how that company is operated. Back in 2017, my wife and I were shopping for a 3 row and while waiting to test drive the Enclave, we saw a sharp looking 2 row…and learned it was the Envision… the sales guy gave us the low down and then said they are limited on stock and would have to wait for the shipment from China…say what…gm is making cars in China? He said yup. I said we should pay Chinese prices, he said it doesn’t work that way…lol …ended up buying a 17 Impala Premier. Now we have a 19 Traverse Premier…lol Actually really liked that Impala.

When they make the EV version with a 400+ range, I’ll probably buy. Don’t think I’ll be buying any new ICE vehicles in the future except for the Silverado and that will depend on range and pricing of an EV pickup when my current pickup is ready for the scrap man.
Not until you can pull into a charge station and recharge within 10 minutes. Driving to vacation spots shouldn’t require overnites or 2 hr pit stops every 400 miles. Who in their right mind travels until the battery meter is in the red…so make that every 250 mile pit stops.
When I travel, I get in and get out of the gas station to get where I’m going and usually fill up around half tank in case of a highway wreck, road construction, detours, traffic jams, etc… I don’t want sidelined like a turtle waiting for recharge tow truck in the middle of Rockies or somewhere in western Kansas in the winter….not me.
Don’t buy an EV, problem solved. Relax, take deep breaths, and exhale slowly.

in my humble opinion this is by far the best looking CUV in GM’s lineup.
Cadillac EV CUV’s cannot get here fast enough because this is miles ahead of the XT4
